In the summer there is a desire time and effort to experiment with cosmetics, and the number of events without a dress code only contributes to this. The easiest and most non-binding way to accentuate a familiar look is to paint your nails with bright varnish. In case the bottles available at home are not inspiring, we have selected as many as 30 worthy varnishes of all colors of the rainbow, which you can buy without any fear.
Zoya PixieDust Arianna, butter London La Moss, Orly Bus stop crimson
Wine is a classic shade for manicure, and for 2015 it was also indulged by Pantone. You can play along and dilute with it not only the shelf with varnishes (if you don't have a cherry bubble yet), but also the cosmetic bag as a whole: according to good tradition, Sephora allows you to dive into the sea of wine-colored decorative cosmetics - from lipsticks to shadows. However, when choosing a varnish, you can already break your head: the butter LONDON, Orly and elegant Zoya noted by us are just one of hundreds of worthy ones.
Formula X Electrics Turbo, OPI I Just Can't Cope-acabana, Revlon parfumerie Scented Nail Enamel Sunlit Grass
Yellow varnishes no, no, yes, and even appear in limited collections of expensive brands (recall the almost sunk into oblivion Chanel Mimosa, Dior Acapulco and quite recently Sunwashed by the same Dior). The problem with most of them is that they are applied not only unevenly, but also loosely - and if jelly with any other shade can pass for a chip, then the translucent yellow enamel is more likely to cause physiological associations. If you want to buy a dense yellow varnish, there are at least three win-win options: the canary OPI blog All Lacquered Up calls one of the best, and Revlon and Formula X, in addition to density, also have interesting special effects - a pleasant fragrance and a rough sandy coating.
Essie Blanc, OPI Alpine snow, Illamasqua Scorch
White is an even more difficult color to nail polish than yellow. It is not a matter of combination with skin tone or nail shape (all this is a matter of personal aesthetic preferences, not standards), but as varnishes: most often they are distributed unevenly ("striped" if you use the jargon of the venerable nail_ru community) and do not give a dense coating even in three layers. Essie, OPI and Illamasqua do not sin with all this and look equally good, so you can safely choose any.
NARS Thasos, Anna sui Chocolate Chip Nail Mint Green, Deborah Lippmann Flowers in her hair
Pastel blue-green was a universal lacquer obsession a couple of years ago. During this time, everyone managed to take a breath, and it's good: the hand itself reaches for such fresh, but at the same time calm shades in the summer. In case you get tired of the usual look, you can pay attention to the speckled "chocolate" polish Anna Sui or depict on the nails an elegant pattern like the one that flashed at the Sophie Theallet show.
Lancôme vernis in Love Corail Néo Néon, L'Oréal Paris Orange After Pa, Maybelline New York Color Show 341 Orange Attack
There were a lot of orange manicures at the last spring-summer shows: they were combined with minimalistic stickers, clothes almost to match and fit into simple geometric nail art. The cheerfulness of the shade has long been equated to the general summer one, so you can look for a suitable varnish both in seasonal collections and in permanent ones - orange is quite conventional for this (in support of this, varnishes were specially chosen from brands that can be found in any cosmetic network).
Gucci Bold High-Gloss Lacquer Iconic Gold, JINsoon Soiree Glitter Nail Polish, Deborah Lippmann Gold digger
We cheated a little, singling out "metallics" in a separate category, but it would be a gross mistake to ignore them. A luxurious mica or golden bottle is unlikely to cost any collection, but we are a little jealous of those who have not yet discovered this category. There is plenty to choose from: a pompous glitter can be found at Deborah Lippmann, a slightly thinner one at JINsoon, and a discreet and versatile version is at Gucci, for example.
Kure bazaar Fabulous, China glaze Lacquer in Glow With the Flow, Yves saint laurent Beaute La Laque 8 Fuchsia Cubiste
There is nothing wrong with pink, so we suggest abstracting from all social constructions and choosing a beautiful pastel or bright shade. You can be guided at least by the name (it is difficult to feel bad with "Fabulous" on the nails), at least by the beauty of the bottle (YSL will give odds to many), but better - by the quality of the brush and the pliability of the varnish itself. Specific China Glaze, Kure Bazaar and YSL perform well on all fronts.
JINsoon x Tila March Tila, Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine Nail Lacquer Sally, Models Own Mirrorball Collection Dancing queen
We do not want to once again broadcast about the calming effect of green, but we will not argue with the fact that a beautiful varnish will never spoil the mood. Green is not a very popular shade among mainstream brands, so you should look for it better from the advanced or professional. JINsoon recently released a deep green cream, Models Own has a carnival glitter top, and a scarab Marc Jacobs should be looked at for those who cannot stand too bright manicure.
Dolce & gabbana Light Blue, Nails inc. Gel effect Baker Street, Sally hansen miracle gel Tidal wave
A deep blue polish can be an accessory that will dilute the forced brevity of a wardrobe on vacation, but even if you are not going to climb mountains or arrange sea races, it will not hurt to pay attention to the thriving niche of long-lasting gel polishes. Electrically blue gel polishes are available from Nails inc. and Sally Hansen, while Dolce & Gabbana's summer collection has a "simple" but not less noteworthy azure.
Rimmel Salon Pro Ultra Violet, Mavala Chili & Spice Samarkand, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Belladonna
A shade without which a rainbow manicure would be incomplete. The deep purple associated with the fabulous brands Urban Decay and Lime Crime is perhaps a bit heavy for summer looks, so we'd look at lighter tones. Dusty lavender was found in Rimmel and Mavala, and poisonous lavender was found in OCC (by the way, the brand has lipstick of the same shade).
