Some things become for us something incomparably more than another dress or another pair of shoes. They are associated with significant events, with loved ones, with serious changes in life. Once having taken a place in our heart, they do not leave us for years and become something like a physical embodiment of pleasant memories. As part of the joint project Wonderzine and Play With Time, we asked the heroine of the Instagram sitcom of the same name Ravshana Kurkova about things close to her heart and related stories.

My student years, like many at that time, were hungry, I did not even have money for a student canteen
About friendship
All the people with whom I am friends are people whom I admire, whom I dearly love and respect infinitely. These are self-made people, a little crazy in the good sense of the word, real fans of their craft. Each of them is a whole universe. They inspire me every day.
My student years, like many at that time, were hungry - I didn't even have money for a student canteen. And my friend Tanya, with whom we have been friends for more than 15 years, began to come to my house - supposedly to study and do homework, but in fact she brought me either soup, or a cutlet with mashed potatoes, or something else from food. We never discussed this with her, but she literally fed me for a couple of months. And I will always remember that.
When something goes wrong, my friends are there, and they, what is more important and more difficult, are always ready to sincerely rejoice at my success. Joy for a loved one is the highest manifestation of love and acceptance, it seems to me. In general, this is a unique and rare combination of qualities - indifference, the ability to accept a person as he is, the ability to truly rejoice for him, the ability to hear, not judge if you are confused or confused, but always tell the truth. In true friendship, as well as in love, between people their best qualities should flourish and manifest. When you have such friends, you are definitely invincible.
About books
I'm a binge of books, and the question of my favorite book drives me into a stupor. What does "favorite book" mean? For different periods of our life, our books are different: they also come to us for a reason. From the latter, for example, I was very impressed by the "Steep route" Ginzburg, "Summer of a whole century" by Illies. Now I'm reading Aitmatov's And The Day Lasts More Than a Century and Maugham's Theater. From time to time I specifically ask my friends what they read - it’s interesting to know what period someone has, what moods at this particular moment in life. The books that "fall" into us are always a reflection of our inner "I", the questions to which we are looking for answers, the state in which we find ourselves.
My favorite type of shopping is bookstore. Of course, knowing this love of mine, my close friends give me books. Not so long ago, for example, I came across a funny illustration book on how to show with your hands all sorts of figures in the light - a gift from the scriptwriter and director Roma Kantor. We made friends while working on the set of his pilot, and Roma brought me this present from his trip to Europe. Ken Wilber's A Brief History of Everything was given to me as a birthday present by my theater director, playwright and friend Vanya Vyrypaev. Before that, I read, on his recommendation, "Grace and Fortitude" by the same Ken Wilber, and this work about fortitude and unconditional love made a tremendous impression on me. And Illyes was recommended to me by the director and actor Ilya Shagalov.

Regardless of whether I have work meetings or not, whether I am going to the shooting or not, I almost always look in the same style

About 65% of my wardrobe is made by Russian designers. It seems to me that lately their things are not inferior in quality and level of ideas to the things of their foreign colleagues
About clothes outside of work
Regardless of whether I have work meetings or not, whether I am on the road or not on the way to the shooting, I almost always look in the same style. The only reason to change this rule is the red carpet. I strive to always look appropriate for the situation. If the event involves a certain dress code, then it is worth adhering to it - this is at least a manifestation of respect for colleagues and the situation. For example, to come in your favorite sneakers, jeans and a white shirt to the opening of the film festival, if it is not accepted there is disrespect for those who invited you, so I put on a dress, high-heeled shoes, and do the appropriate makeup. But at any other time I look super relaxed, I never make up brightly, I don't wear tight or too revealing things - I feel uncomfortable in them. The basis of my wardrobe is feminine, very calm, simple things. Sometimes, depending on my mood, I can wear something with an ironic print: a T-shirt with an inscription, for example, or an unusually cut skirt.
If a friend calls me to his birthday or other informal party, I wear the same jeans, sneakers, and white shirt. It happens that I can choose a funny dress or change my sneakers for heels and do a beautiful styling. In any case, these are comfortable clothes, albeit adjusted for the occasion. By the way, I always wore comfortable shoes without heels: at first I was worried about my height, although now 178 centimeters are already considered a very average figure, and then I realized that I just felt sorry for my legs. I walk a lot, and running six to eight hours a day in heels is torture. So I only put on shoes in the evening, and then for a maximum of a couple of hours and for a very special occasion.
I'm one of those girls who always go with small bags. Even my suitcase is always such that it can be taken in hand luggage. I don't need so many things for every day: credit card, keys, lip balm. If you suddenly need to make up brighter, I can drop into the theater - I have a cosmetic bag there. But these are rare cases.
About 65% of my wardrobe is made by Russian designers. It seems to me that lately their clothes are not inferior in quality and level of ideas to the clothes of their foreign colleagues. I am friends with a decent number of our craftsmen, and they give me a lot, however, despite this very pleasant practice, my wardrobe is quite adequate in size. I do not store things, and after the dress or suit is walked and recorded in the photo report, the thing, as a rule, migrates further - to my mother, sister, friends. But there are exceptions, if this is love at first sight and you don't want to part with it.

Grandmother's brooch

I grew up with this brooch: all my childhood, my grandmother wore it to the most important events and family holidays. And when at the age of 17 I left for Moscow, I asked my grandmother to give it to me. Despite the fact that this is an ordinary garnet brooch, not a jewel, for me it is the most priceless piece of my wardrobe. When I have something very important, difficult tests or a responsible meeting, I always wear it, even if it does not fit the image (in this case, I just stab it imperceptibly from the back of my jacket, sweater or dress). When I feel it, it gives me strength, calms me down.
Gold chains

Ten years ago I filmed in several projects at the same time - in Barvikha, in the project Officers by Zinovy Roizman, and in the Estonian film The Temptation of St. Tynu. For the first time in my life I had such a busy year, I managed to earn, as it seemed to me then, a lot of money. And I decided to go to Paris with my friend Sveta. Before that, I had never been to Paris, so I just went crazy there, of course. In addition, to see the city, enjoy the architecture, atmosphere, museums, small cafes, I had one more super task - the first shopping in my life. I ran to all sorts of funny boutiques and shops, spent almost all my salary on all sorts of nonsense. Specifically, this chain was purchased at Printemps department store. For me, she is a symbol of adulthood, when I myself, like a big one, went to Paris. But seriously, I just love such exquisite jewelry, and knowing this love of mine, my friends always give me something in such a “weightless” style.
The second chain was presented to me for my last birthday by my best friend Katya Komolova, and she has the same one. I just love her. And a friend, and a chain. The pendant is a small ruby, by the way, this is my stone. Every time I put on a piece of jewelry, everyone asks what kind of beauty it is. In general, my Katyusha knows what to give.
Brooch from Kiev

A hundred years ago, she starred in Kiev in one film. And some lovely girl (as it turned out later, my fan), having learned that I was in the city on the set, made me this brooch - the prototype of my heroine from that film. Since then, this decoration has been with me. I am very inspired when people can create something with their own hands, especially such beauty. The energy of a particular person, his sympathy, his attention - all this is concentrated in each such creation and is very felt.
Glasses from Venice

I'm crazy about designer glasses. Wherever I go, I bring glasses of local designers from everywhere. I found these in a small shop in Venice: now the owner of this shop is a young guy, before him the shop was kept by his father, even earlier - by his grandfather. That is, several generations of one family are engaged in the manufacture of a variety of glasses. This piece is very unusual - the glasses are not sunglasses, they are more for beauty, and I do not wear them often, but they are undoubtedly an adornment of my collection.
Jacket

Often at photo shoots, a stylist or designer gives me something of the things. I don't remember which edition we were shooting for then, it was about eight years ago, but I remember that when I was presented with this See by Chloé jacket, I was just happy. Made in a masculine style, a black jacket is an indispensable item in a wardrobe that does not lose its shape or relevance. A super-robust jacket, in my opinion.
Shoes

Once Natasha Turovnikova prompted me to take another shoot (we have known each other with Natasha for a long time, she is a famous dude and a very cool person). So we did this shooting, and she says: "Choose any thing from the shooting - our compliment to you." I took these Christian Louboutin shoes, they look incredibly beautiful to me. And despite the fact that, oddly enough, for a year I have never put them on, I am sure they will wait for their finest hour.
