The Petersburg Avant-garde edition informs that the actionist Pyotr Pavlensky will play himself in a new production of the Moscow Theater.doc. The play will be staged in the genre of "witness theater" - this is a first-person story about real events, in which, in addition to the hero of the narrative, professional actors take part. The performance will be dedicated to the sensational political actions of Pavlensky: "Seam", "Touch", "Freedom" and "Threat". Recall that the last two actions became the basis for accusations of vandalism and damage to cultural heritage sites: the first was withdrawn due to the expiration of the statute of limitations, and as a result of the second case, Pavlensky must pay a fine.
"The play will be about Peter's actions and his personal understanding of art," said the theater's artistic director Mikhail Ugarov. - He has special views - in the art scene, very many do not share them and are skeptical of him. I am sure that talking about art will pull politics and everything in the world along with it, because such is the work of Peter."
On March 8 this year, Teatre.doc showed the witness "Portrait of the Artist's Girlfriend", dedicated to political art and the artist's life in modern Russia. The main storyteller and protagonist of the play was Pavlensky's wife and ally Oksana Shalygina.
