About the passion for cosmetics

and favorite bloggers

My dad worked in the field of beauty, and my mom is a PhD in pharmaceutical sciences. It just so happened that from childhood I learned from my dad about the pyramid of aromas and the latest perfumery and cosmetic launches, and thanks to my mother I began to somehow understand the composition of care products. From my mother I learned the main beauty commandment: "Preventing is easier than fixing." Therefore, I do not skimp on evening make-up remover and try to apply a tonic-serum-cream, even if I am very tired or in a hurry.

I follow about fifty beauty blogs, mostly British. They are somehow closer to me - they do not hesitate to show an extra fold in a swimsuit, and tell about a pimple on their forehead. I know a few of them, absolutely adorable, especially my namesake from the ViviannaDoesMakeup blog. I don't really like American women, they are all very similar: white-toothed, tanned and "oh my god it's amazing" about each product. The only exception is Tati GlamLifeGuru Westbrook, I highly recommend her. But I hardly follow the Russians. Every day I try to view updates in the accounts of bloggers plus the social networks of glossy beauty editors. It helps me to keep abreast of all the news from the world of beauty. It's nice when your favorite hobby is also your job.

About hair

I have been fanatically looking after my hair since childhood. She used to be golden blonde, then darkened and became light-haired. I have never dyed my hair and will not - only when the time comes to paint over the gray hair. In the summer I try not to use a hairdryer, in the winter I get up an hour earlier so that my hair has time to dry before I start drying it. In addition to all nourishing masks, I drink vitamins for hair - before it was Inneov, but now their laboratory has been closed, and we need to look for a replacement. It seems to me that hair is a person's calling card. I always pay attention to them and really appreciate if they are in good condition and well-groomed.

About makeup

I had a period when there were 144 lipsticks in my closet. Moreover, everything was bought with my own money, now I sometimes receive cosmetics as a PR-mailing. But then common sense took its toll, and I handed out a hundred of my friends. Now it has become a habit for me: every few months I empty out half of my beauty cabinet and distribute it to my friends. I rake it mercilessly - why be greedy and waste away over the Naked, Urban Decay palette, if someone will be happy to use it? When I moved to London, I gave away almost everything, but it helped me to understand what things are really my favorites.

I love to paint, but I do it for myself. If I want to go for bread with golden shadows, I'll go. At the same time, I am not a supporter of heavy makeup. All this contouring, baking, draping and other kimkardashyanings - it seems to me that this is superfluous. I watch a video of some Gohar Avetisyan, where she makes "artificial faces" for girls, and I am perplexed. I learned to paint from the books of Kevin Okuan and Bobby Brown, now I still love Lisa Eldridge, she does very feminine makeup. But to each his own, I can imagine how someone does not understand how it is possible not to sculpt a face, for example. This is the beauty of makeup - everyone does only what he wants and what is comfortable for him personally.

About sport

Until I had eye surgery two years ago, I had very poor eyesight. Therefore, I was never allowed to play sports. But last September, I decided that it was no longer possible, and began classes with a coach. I do not treat going to sports as a heavy duty, but on the contrary, I observe with interest what else my body is capable of.I like getting stronger.

I have never been on diets - I am a hereditary hedonist, all like a mom and dad. It seems to me that the main thing is to love yourself and your body, this is better than any diet. For example, I really love myself, so I won't drink cola or eat chips. I know it will harm my body. As a teenager, it always seemed to me that my cheeks were big, my hands were not like that, something else. Now everything has somehow changed, I want to go back and say to myself: "Fool, well, look at yourself, you are beautiful." I really want all the girls who are now dissatisfied with something in themselves, look in the mirror and see how beautiful they really are.
