It's hard to believe, but autumn is coming soon… This is not a reason to be sad, because there are many pleasant things ahead of us, even if the temperature outside the window gets colder and darker - earlier. So, the new film season promises many spectacular films, from stories about children with supernormal abilities and mysterious creatures to dramas about an emergency plane landing and the exciting adventures of Jason Bourne. Great comedies will also not do without, this fall the duet of Zach Galifianakis and Kristen Wiig is responsible for them.

Jason Bourne

Jason bourne

Premiere: September 1

Producer: Paul Greengrass

Cast: Matt Damon, Alicia Vikander, Tommy Lee Jones, Vincent Cassel, Julia Styles, Reese Ahmed, Ato Essonda, Scott Shepherd, Bill Camp, Vincentz Kiefer

“You know his name,” says the promo poster of the film, and it’s like this: it’s impossible not to recognize Matt Damon as Jason Bourne. After the events of The Bourne Ultimatum, the former agent is still on the run and is trying to distance himself as much as possible from CIA affairs. Fortunately, his memory has finally fully returned. However, life returns everything to its place when another CIA agent and a member of the hacktivist group finds out information about Bourne's father. This is how the giants collide again: the fugitive will have to come out again to confront the dark deeds of the American government. This is the fifth film in the franchise, and hopefully the last - each new Bourne story has long looked like a tired repetition.

Miracle on the Hudson

Sully

Premiere: 8 September

Producer: Clint Eastwood

Cast: Tom Hanks, Anna Gunn, Laura Linney, Aaron Eckhart, Autumn Reaser, Sam Huntington, Jerry Ferrara, Jeff Kober, Molly Hagan, Mike O'Malley

Heroic films abound this fall: Deepwater Horizon about an oil rig explosion, Cruiser about the last days of WWII on a submarine and, of course, Miracle on the Hudson with Tom Hanks as pilot Chesley Sullenberger, or just Sally. Sally is the same man who successfully landed a plane with 155 people aboard the Hudson water after a flock of Canadian geese got into the engines during the flight. After this story about the pilot, they wrote the book "Highest Duty", and it was already decided to shoot a film based on it. The movie, however, will become not just an action disaster, but a psychological drama about a man whose life changes drastically after a fatal event: the lesser director from Clint Eastwood is not worth waiting for.

Snowden

Snowden

Premiere: September 15th

Producer: Oliver Stone

Cast: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Scott Eastwood, Shailene Woodley, Nicolas Cage, Zachary Quinto, Timothy Olyphant, Logan Marshall-Green, Ben Schnetzer, Melissa Leo, Joely Richardson

Another film of the season, based on the life of our contemporary. Two books have already been written about Edward Snowden, who revealed secret information from the NSA about the surveillance of the American government, one of which is by his lawyer in Russia Anatoly Kucherena. Film director Oliver Stone, who ate a dog on complex political subjects, bought the rights to both of them to write his original screenplay about the computer specialist who became the number one fugitive. Snowden himself will be played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who met with his prototype in Russia.

Nerve

Nerve

Premiere: September 15th

Directed by: Henry Just, Ariel Schulman

Cast: Emma Roberts, Dave Franco, Emily Mead, Miles Heizer, Kimiko Glenn, Mark John, Jeffries Machine, Gan Kelly, Brian "Senet" Mark, Ed Squire, Raitor Doyle

A teenage blockbuster starring Emma Roberts and Dave Franco. The plot matches the main fear of our time that someone will steal your identity on the Internet. Modest girl Venus - for the sake of simplicity V - takes on playing a strange reality game to prove her courage and freedom to her peers. The rules are simple: to complete tasks for money that are displayed in the application - everything that happens is somehow broadcast on the Web. The problem is that those mysterious people who play this game are primarily interested in good views, which means that V and her new partner Ian will have to carry out more and more frightening tasks, which can no longer be canceled with the "Cancel" button.

Bridget Jones - 3

Bridget Jones's Baby

Premiere: September 15th

Producer: Sharon Maguire

Cast: Renee Zellweger, Patrick Dempsey, Colin Firth, Emma Thompson, Shirley Henderson, Jim Broadbent, James Callis, Celia Imri, Sarah Solemani, Gemma Jones

The new Bridget Jones with its existence refutes the joyful ending of the previous parts: a miracle did not happen and even Bridget eventually disagrees with her Mr. Darcy. Renee Zellweger reincarnated as Bridget Jones to tell the third part of the heroine's misadventures. Now she is forty, she is again trying to build a personal life, but it's not so simple: the heroine finds out that she is pregnant. They say that this will not look like Helen Fielding's book at all, since it was not taken as a basis, but a series of columns by the author in The Independent. The new Bridget Jones, however, should fill a hole in the heart of those who miss family comedies, especially since "Very Bad Moms", coming out in the fall, with Kristen Bell and Mila Kunis, is unlikely to cope on their own.

The Magnificent Seven

The Magnificent Seven

Premiere: September 22nd

Producer: Antoine Fuqua

Cast: Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke, Vincent D'Onofrio, Lee Byung-heon, Manuel Rulfo, Martin Sensmeyer, Hayley Bennett, Peter Sarsgaard, Luke Grimes

We ourselves weren't aware of it, but it seems we all need Chris Pratt dressed up as a cowboy who praises himself for shooting well with "House of the Rising Sun". This happens in a remake of the classic 60s western, which in turn was an interpretation of an even earlier Kurosawa film about seven samurai. Nick Pizzolatto, the author of "True Detective", had a hand in the script, and Antoine Fuqua, who shot clips for Prince and "Training Day", sat in the director's chair. Fukua says he treated the original material with respect but in his own way. So, a group of mercenaries who go to protect the village from raids by greedy bandits are played not entirely by young white men, but by a variety of worthy actors led by Denzel Washington - for which the director is honored and praised.

Instigators

Masterminds

Premiere: September 29

Producer: Jared Hess

Cast: Zach Galifianakis, Owen Wilson, Kristen Wiig, Jason Sudeikis, Keith McKinnon, Leslie Jones, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Ken Marino, Devin Ratrey, John Daly

The new comedy by Kristen Wiig and Zach Galifianakis looks like a must-have item - it seems that these two succeed in everything they undertake. They are helped by the new "Ghostbusters" almost in full force: Kate McKinnon, who should be in all good comedies, as well as Owen Wilson and Leslie Jones. The story is based on the history of the real robbery of the Loomis Fargo bank - the second largest damage inflicted in American history at that time. Bank employee David Scott Gant, along with his girlfriend and several other accomplices, were able to steal seventeen million dollars in cash. The movie looks as cheeky as the story behind the film, directed by Napoleon Dynamite creator Jared Lawrence Hess.

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

Premiere: 6 october

Producer: Tim Burton

Cast: Eva Green, Samuel L. Jackson, Allison Jenny, Asa Butterfield, Ella Pernell, Kim Dickens, Judi Dench, Chris O'Dowd, Rupert Everett, Terence Stamp

Not having time to rest after the new part of "Alice", Tim Burton presents a new movie - the adaptation of American fantasy "House of Peculiar Children". A boy named Jacob loses his grandfather, who loves to tell him stories about people with supernormal abilities.Jacob, who begins to see something strange and who is treated by a psychotherapist, undertakes to find out on his own what is true and what is false in grandfather's tales. So he finds the home of Miss Peregrine, who has warmed up special children in her orphanage, whom he and Jacob will have to protect. The abbess is played by Eva Green, who showed in Scary Tales that she feels great in eerie stories.

Pay

The accountant

Premiere: The 20th of October

Producer: Gavin O'Connor

Cast: Anna Kendrick, Ben Affleck, John Bernthal, J.C. Simmons, Jeffrey Tambor, John Lithgow, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Deg Furch, Alison Wright, Gregory Alan Williams

An unexpected role for Ben Affleck, who has just thrown off his Batman costume. The actor nevertheless continues to play characters associated with big money - this time, however, they are not him, but criminal organizations for which he works as an accountant. At the same time, every day the hero overcomes the difficulties of life with Asperger's syndrome, from which he suffers. His work is far from boring and is more like solving complex mathematical equations; at least that's how the creators serve money laundering. However, this cannot last forever: suddenly the hero learns about the chilling deeds of his bosses. Then he takes up a gun to defend himself in the surest way.

Girl on the train

The Girl on the Train

Premiere: 27th October

Producer: Tate Taylor

Cast: Emily Blunt, Hayley Bennett, Justin Theroux, Laura Prepon, Rebecca Ferguson, Luke Evans, Allison Jenny, Edgar Ramirez, Lisa Kudrow, Marco Kaka

A screen version of the main detective of last year, who was prophesied the glory of "Gone Girl". Whether it will be possible to repeat the success of the film adaptation is another question: Fincher no longer appears in the directors, so the talented Emily Blunt in the title role will have to drag the film on herself. The plot, however, is creepy in an amicable way and may well become the basis of a solid thriller. The main character Rachel, divorced and abusing alcohol, is involved in the story of the disappearance of a young woman. Rachel suffers from memory lapses and falls under suspicion: her past and current erratic behavior speaks against her. The heroine undertakes to find out what really happened, who is to blame and whether she is really capable of something terrible.

Doctor Strange

Doctor Strange

Premiere: the 3rd of November

Producer: Scott Derrickson

Cast: Benedict Cumberbatch, Tilda Swinton, Mads Mikkelsen, Rachel Mcadams, Benedict Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Scott Adkins, Michael Stoolbarg, Benjamin Bratt, Amy Landecker

A favorite psychedelic character of 70s college students who appreciated two things: a hero and illegal drugs, representing Strange accordingly. The film, unfortunately, does not look so exciting even for a tenth. Even Pink Floyd has lines dedicated to Doctor Strange, which changes in size all the time. What is worth waiting for is the standard Marvel blockbuster - everyone who still likes them will be satisfied. In the role of the protagonist, he successfully matches the type of Cumberbatch - this time Sherlock transforms into a former neurosurgeon, who, due to a terrible car accident and subsequent treatment in a Tibetan monastery, becomes the supreme magician and protector of the Earth from magical threats.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Premiere: 17 november

Producer: David Yates

Cast: Ezra Miller, Eddie Redmayne, Colin Farrell, Zoe Kravitz, Ron Perlman, Jon Voight, Gemma Chan, Katherine Waterston, Samantha Morton, Carmen Ejogo

Not quite an adaptation of the accompanying textbook, "Fairy Beasts and Where to Find Them." In Harry Potter, the characters in this book purportedly studied magical creatures, from the relatively cute to the truly terrifying, the kind that don't belong in school. To collect material for a full-fledged exciting film, they took a textbook as a basis, but for this they had to write a whole original story about its author.Newt Scamander, as his name is, an avid adventurer and tireless animal explorer (Eddie Redmayne), arrives in America for a conference with a suitcase full of magical beasts. Unfortunately, they break free, leading to new tensions between the magical and Muggle communities.

Moana

Moana

Premiere: 24 november

Directed by: Ron Clements, John Musker

Cast: Dwayne Johnson, Alan Tudik, Jemaine Clement, Nicole Scherzinger, Auli Cravalho, Temuera Morrison, Phillipa Su, Rachel House

New Disney cartoon about a brave girl - the daughter of a leader, the darling of the ocean. It takes place two thousand years ago in semi-mythical ancient Oceania. Moana is a born navigator who embarks on a sea voyage in search of a fabulous island. Fortunately, it is not the ideal prince who helps her, but the cheerful corpulent demigod Maui, all of whose tattoos, by the way, are drawn by hand. They will have an exciting journey across the Pacific Ocean and meeting with sea monsters - the same people are responsible for the story who wrote The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and The Princess and the Frog, in which the main character of a Disney musical was for the first time an African American. Among other things, Hamilton star Lin-Manuel Miranda is involved in music.
