Hundreds of new cosmetics appear on the market every month, among which there are both strange and unusual - brands are vying with each other to surprise the discerning consumer. The editor-in-chief of the Fierce & Cute blog, Moore Soboleva, has collected for us the ten most interesting products that have appeared on the market over the past six months.
WYCON Liquid Pearl Eyeshadow
The assortment of the cheerful Italian brand, which opened its first Moscow store a couple of weeks ago, contains many interesting and unusual products. One of the most interesting is the liquid two-phase eyeshadow: the water base and the pigment must be mixed well by shaking the bottle before use. The result is a very well pigmented and very shiny eyeshadow (the metallic shades that look like foil were especially successful). The mechanism of working with them is not simple: you need to drop Liquid Pearl from a pipette onto your hand, and then apply it with a brush or finger - but you can get used to it quickly, and the result is worth it.
Givenchy Mister Radiant Bronzer
Visionary Nicolas Degenne, the permanent makeup director of Givenchy, loves unusual shapes and products - which is only the round-headed Phenomen'Eyes mascara, about which people are still not tired of arguing. Mister Radiant first appeared in the summer collections of the brand several years ago and is a transparent gel with color capsules inside. Since then, several iterations of Mister Radiant have come out - including a body version - and this year Degenne presented a whole collection of such gels with capsules: the collection combined an updated bronzer, makeup base and blush.
Sephora Wonderful Cushion Blush
Over the past year, Korean cushions have taken over the shelves of beauty stores - and now brands represent not only foundations in pads, but also other, less obvious products. So, Sephora has released a whole large collection of Wonderful Cushion - in addition to foundation, it includes blush, highlighter and matte lip products (it's hard to find names for them - tints? Lipsticks? Glosses?). Unlike the new Lancôme blush, made according to the classic cushion principle, Sephora blush is a tube with a porous cushion-like applicator, which is quite convenient and hygienic.
Dr. Jart + Illuminating Brush
In fact, the Korean brand specializes in thoughtful skin care and foundations, but this year Dr. Jart + launched the first decorative products: a contouring kit and a highlighter brush. Despite its unusual appearance, the Illuminating Brush is very convenient to use: just press on the tube and a small amount of highlighter will go to the brush. The highlighter itself is one of the most beautiful and delicate windows: if desired, it can be applied all over the face as a slightly shining makeup base (the Illuminating Brush has a high SPF), but it can also be layered on the cheekbones until a noticeable shine.
Lancôme juicy shaker
The much-touted spring novelty is the biphasic shine with cushion applicator (again!), First developed by Lancôme's new creative director of makeup, Lisa Eldridge. Shake the gloss before use, just like a cocktail shaker. Juicy Shaker moisturizes lips well due to the oil component, but you shouldn't expect any special brightness from it - only a few shades turned out to be highly pigmented, and the desired blue turned out to be completely transparent. Although, to be honest, the main thing about this toy is that it is so cute and looks so good on Instagram.
Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Lip
The outstanding professional brand has released a whole collection of sculpting tools this year: a palette of cream sculptors, eyebrow pencils with highlighters hidden inside and such "sculpting lipsticks". Pro Sculpting Lip is a reversible pencil that has a thin stick of pigmented lipstick on one side and a porous applicator with a pinkish highlighter on the other. The latter is intended to accentuate the lower lip by applying a highlighter in the center and blending, but you can go the other way and just highlight the "Cupid's bow".It is worth noting that both the highlighter and lipstick are very beautiful in themselves - it's a pity that there are only four shades in the line.
Collistar Extraordinary Lipstick Duo
The Italian brand Collistar has always been somehow on the periphery of the vision of beauty addicts - good, solid products, but no innovation. Meanwhile, the brand has made great progress recently - this spring it presented a very beautiful collaboration with FIAT (the powder with the machine looked like a childhood dream), and now it has released an interesting double lipstick. Extraordinary Lip Duo is specially designed to create an ombre effect: the top of the diamond-shaped stick is painted with a contrasting color to the main shade. A very interesting thing for those who want to try ombre lips, but do not want to be fooled: trendy makeup is obtained in one movement.
Chanel stylo eyeshadow
For the first time Stylo Eyeshadow appeared in the summer collection of Chanel in 2013 - and, alas, the launch was limited. Following the triumphant (but again temporary) return of texture a year ago, the brand launched six Stylo Eyeshadow shades this summer as part of the interim collection Eye Can Be, presenting the new Dimensions de Chanel mascara. Once again, Stylo Eyeshadow quietly took the place of the best shadows in the world: they have beautiful shades, intense pigment, they are instantly applied, blend perfectly and pleasantly cool the eyelid when applied. As usual, there is only one trouble - Stylo Eyeshadow was never included in the permanent collection of the brand, which means that it will soon be over.
Benefit 3D BROWtones
The kings of pin-up aesthetics this year completely renewed their collection of eyebrow products - now it is huge and all designed in the same style. In addition to the long-standing hits that simply changed the packaging (like the High Brow pencil and the Gimme Brow fiber gel), Benefit now has many new and completely non-obvious remedies. For example, a conditioning primer for eyebrows has been added to the brand's assortment and this is an eyebrow enhancer: a toning gel of a muted shade that makes light sparse eyebrows brighter and more pronounced, and dark and thick ones more relaxed and natural looking. Can be used alone or in combination with a pencil.
Urban decay moondust eyeshadow
The Urban Decay Pressed Glitter collection has recently been updated with four new colors. Eight more mono shades, a palette and a creamy version of Moondust are coming soon. The fact that the brand is developing the line so seriously is more than justified - Moondust is not only one of the bestsellers of Urban Decay, but also one of the most beautiful glitters on the market. For simplicity, they are usually called shadows, but Moondust really looks more like stardust than shadows: they are ideally typed with a finger (better than a brush), do not crumble and shimmer so that it hurts the eyes, and it is impossible to photograph. The easiest way to get close to David Bowie in thirty seconds.
