Although earnest Slavophiles use the word "collaboration" still causes nervous tremors, in the near future we still have nowhere to get away from him. Designers of big fashion houses and small independent ones are increasingly eager to collaborate with mass-market giants and sports brands, and buyers are also eagerly lining up for their joint creations. For those who are not averse to spending several hours of their lives in one of these queues, we have collected the most striking collaborations, the premieres of which are scheduled for this fall. Unfortunately, the brilliant pair IKEA and Kanye West are not on the list yet.

Tommy Hilfiger x Gigi Hadid

September 1

Model and Instagram star Gigi Hadid is still difficult to call a style icon - she dresses more calmly and simply than original. In this case, this is more of a plus: not everyone is ready to dress up every day, like, for example, the singer Rita Ora, who collaborates with adidas Originals. The first design experience of the blonde model took place with the support of the American designer Tommy Hilfiger. The result of this collaboration is the Tommy x Gigi capsule collection, which the brand describes as "a playful and romantic take on the nautical theme." It included striped tops, T-shirts with anchor and rope prints, high-waisted trousers and jeans, uniform-styled jackets and bombers. And also - The Girl perfume, the face of which, like the entire collection, predictably became Gigi herself.

Levi's x Max Goshko-Dankov

September

Last year, two large sports brands at once turned to face Russian talent. adidas Originals have released the first joint collection with a domestic designer - Grunge John Orchestra. Explosion, and Reebok Classic with artist Yeka Haski and graphic designer from Orka Collective duo Ksenia Stavrova.

In the fall of 2016, Levi's announced the first ever collaboration with a Russian artist. The main hero of this good news was the schedule Max Goshko-Dankov. The classic jeans themselves were not given to him for experiments, but instead he was offered to come up with a design for removable patches that can decorate the back pocket of trousers, and a jacket, and a backpack, and in general absolutely any thing. As the basis for the joint collection, the artist chose one of the most recognizable symbols of Russia - the matryoshka. The familiar rounded silhouette features colorful curls, streaks and graphic flowers. Oddly enough, it does not look kitschy: even the accumulation of such stripes on one piece of clothing reminds not so much of the traditionally Russian love for rich ornaments as of hippies.

Topman x Nasir Mazhar

6 September

Nazir Mazhar is another of the designers, opened to a more or less general public by the team of the Moscow concept store KM20. And one more of the designers, whose things look cool and progressive, but the prices for them, on the contrary, cause only melancholy and sadness. At such moments, you begin to truly appreciate the trend in collaboration with the giants of the mass market. H&M is unlikely to pay attention to the British in the near future, unless he suddenly becomes the art director of some of the LVMH houses, and Uniqlo obviously does not fit his aesthetics.

Fortunately, there is also Topshop, which regularly collaborates with young British designers. For example, they made a collection with Anderson even before he became an obvious universal favorite and was tacitly appointed as a designer of a generation. Now Nazir Mazhar is next in line - he was invited to make a collection for Topman. There won't be a female version of this collaboration, but who is confused by this? Tracksuits, plush embroidered jackets and T-shirts with T-shirts will suit everyone - just like the main collection of the brand.

adidas x Alexander Wang

10 September

Sports brands remain the main suppliers of sensational collaborations: if H&M organizes this only once a year, then sports brands can have an unlimited number of them even in one season. The most intriguing of all the promised ones in the near future is the mysterious story that connected Alexander Wang and adidas. No details (just like the official confirmation of the veracity of this news) about the upcoming cooperation were leaked to the press. The "trusted source" who provided this information to WWD only named the date for the premiere of the collaboration, which was obviously supposed to be a surprise - September 10th. On this day, the Alexander Wang spring-summer collection will be shown in New York as part of Fashion Week. And since “dress-sneakers” were already in Wang's biography (and not so long ago), we will not be surprised if he again decides to combine these two directions on his show.

Uniqlo U x Lemaire

October 14

Strictly speaking, this collection by Christophe Lemaire for Uniqlo U is not really a collaboration. This could be called the first two "capsules" of the Frenchman for the Japanese brand, on which he worked as a guest designer-star. Lemaire now works at Uniqlo on a full-time basis, already as the creative director of the Uniqlo U line, and in October his premiere collection in a new position will arrive in stores. If earlier the designer tried (and successfully) to convey the essence and style of his own brand Lemaire in his mini-collections for the Japanese brand, now the focus is on basic and comfortable things, from turtlenecks and cardigans to down jackets - that is, the embodiment of the essence of Uniqlo. Lemaire's handwriting is felt mainly in the selection of colors - this has always been his strong point, and for his first collection, Uniqlo U, he again mixed the most amazing tones that cause the least associations with the mass market. Deep blue is especially good.

Kenzo x H&M

November

Every November, the H&M team makes the world shudder and run at full speed to the brand's stores. Fortunately, there are thousands of them in the world, so the queue in which you want to stand, you can choose from many options. At the end of autumn, a new design collaboration goes on sale, for the release of which PR specialists have been preparing the public for the last 12 months. Until October, buyers are kept in the dark, throwing out one frame per month, and this strategy, judging by the experience of recent years, works perfectly. While it is hard to believe today that anyone can surpass the success of Olivier Rousteing and last year's Balmain x H&M collection, this year's Carol Lim and Humberto Leon of Kenzo will make an attempt.

Once upon a time (not so long ago, even if it seems like an eternity ago), the design duo dressed everyone up in sweatshirts with snarling tigers and returned Kenzo to the big arena. Prints, rich colors, slogans and indispensable games with street style - this is how we will remember the French house during their reign, and the upcoming collaboration will certainly be the same. This is quite directly, without unnecessary hints, indicated by the few frames that have already gone online. Perhaps Balmen's madness around this partnership should not be expected - there are a little fewer connoisseurs of crazy prints in the world than fans of bright sexuality and gold with stones.
