Man of the world M.I.A. released a new album "AIM" - it includes 17 tracks, including tracks recorded with Diplo, Skrillex, Blaqstarr and former One Direction member Zane Malik. "AIM" became the fifth and most ideologically charged album of the singer (almost all tracks are devoted to the problems of refugees, residents of the third world countries and the injustice of the world economic system). The singer said that she recorded the entire album on her own, and her team only had an assistant who helped with travel arrangements and a nanny who took care of the artist's son while she worked on her music. According to M.I.A., the new album will be her last - at least in the near future she plans to move away from music and do something else.

“Recording an album is great, but after that I have to do something different, something unusual and difficult for me. I think The Guardian's review is a great example of my decision [to change my career after recording an album]. They write: "Yeah, she missed by making an album that is not suitable for either the club or the bedroom." But people are not only in clubs and in bedrooms, so if you want to represent many people, you need to look at the world not only through a 2D album. Therefore, I want to abstract from music and explore some topics with the help of other media. I don't know which ones yet, but I definitely want to do just that. Trying new things is also exciting,”the singer told Consequence of Sound.
