Amazon presented a trailer for Woody Allen's comedy mini-series Crisis in Six Scenes about the life of a married couple in the 60s, during turbulent times for the United States. The main role - an unlucky and ironic writer - in the film was played by Allen himself, and his wife, a family psychoanalyst and a member of the book club for the same prosperous ladies, Eileen May. The measured life of conservative spouses is destroyed when the young hippie heroine Miley Cyrus comes to visit them. In addition to Allen, May, and Cyrus, the film also features John Magaro (The Shortcut) and Rachel Brosnahan (House of Cards) as a close family friend and fiancée.

Judging by the trailer and the previously released teaser, where Allen's character discusses his work with a critical hairdresser, in "Crisis in Six Scenes" there will be many ironic dialogues typical for Allen's films, shedding light not only on intra-family relationships, but also on important events taking place at this time in the country. So, at the very beginning of the trailer, Allen's character says: "No, we will never go to a demonstration in Washington, I am allergic to tear gas."

The series will consist of six half-hour episodes and will premiere on September 30. Amazon positions Crisis in Six Scenes as the director's first television project (Allen never directed a series, but worked in television as a screenwriter early in his career).
