Russian designer Gosha Rubchinsky announced the launch of a new brand called Rassvet. These are clothes and boards for skaters that Rubchinsky creates with his longtime friend and inspirer Tolya Titayev - they met eight years ago at one of the first castings of models to show the Rubchinsky brand and have worked a lot since then.
According to Titayev, they have already tried to produce skateboards several times, but not a single project has been completed. The word "Dawn" has already appeared on items from the previous collections of Rubchinsky. As the designer said, the name symbolizes new life and new strength that awakens with the rising of the sun.
The first collection of "Rassvet" included skateboards, T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts and caps with logos and brand names developed by Titayev. The lookbook for the new brand was shot in Moscow by Russian photographer Sasha Mademuaselle.
Like Rubchinsky's own brand, Rassvet will develop under the auspices of Comme des Garçons. Sales of the first collection of the brand will start the day after tomorrow, September 17, in Dover Street Market stores around the world.
A couple of days ago, a photo of the Supreme brand was released, which Gosha Rubchinsky made for the Japanese magazine Popeye. As in the Gosha Rubchinsky lookbooks, the models here are guys from the outskirts, captured against the backdrop of high-rise buildings, churches and ordinary streets of Russian cities.
