Interest in designers who grew up in Eastern Europe or the post-Soviet space is still growing and will soon, apparently, gradually decline. Now, any mention of such an origin and its influence on creativity will certainly provide close attention from the fashionable public. So it happened with the debutants of this New York Fashion Week - the Polish brand MISBHV, which is the quintessence of streetwear.

At first, MISBHV focused mainly on menswear, which they produced for four seasons in a row. They wore it, however (and this can be seen on streetstyle shoots from fashion weeks), both boys and girls. Huge hoodies, turtlenecks with the word "WARSAW", scarves similar to those worn by football fans immediately won hearts. Not least of all, this happened due to the relatively low price obtained due to the fact that all things are sewn at local factories. When creating collections, designers appeal to their youth and hobbies for various subcultures. Gothic fonts, chokers, tracksuits, leather jackets and vinyl coats - about such a set of things you can always find on the brand's website, including right now.

In one of her interviews, Natalia says that friends, skate and club communities pushed them to create their own brand. She made several T-shirts with her partner Thomas, which instantly sold out to familiar DJs, after which everyone began to demand more. Some of the things they developed were bought in literally minutes, which pushed budding designers to move forward. This is how people without any fashion education have created the most visible brand in the country.

Now MISBHV are focused on global expansion. Thanks to the presentation at New York Fashion Week, literally all the fashion press wrote about the brand as notable newcomers. Their collection within the framework of the Week was dedicated to the 2000s: the designers say that they were inspired by the image of the most popular girl in school. Hence - flirting with logos, cargo pants and rhinestones, a lot of rhinestones. It seems that there is no meaningful idea behind this design (unlike, by the way, the same Vetements), but the strength of these guys lies in honesty. None of the creators of MISBHV conceals this fact.

Five years ago, streetwear was not accepted by the fashion establishment. Streetwear today is Off-White and Vetements that are making the system change. Vanguard and luxury are no longer separate worlds, they merge and complement each other. The avant-garde itself is boring, the world of luxury is superficial. The most interesting thing happens when they meet together.
