The Social Information Agency informs that in seven cities of Russia an action "Pink Ribbon" will be held in the near future, which is being carried out by Avon together with the Cancer Prevention Foundation with the support of the N.I. N.N. Petrova. Residents of Stavropol, where the action has already started on September 26, as well as Volgograd, Ufa, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Novosibirsk, Tambov and Yaroslavl will be able to get free consultation. In addition, as part of the action, educational events will be organized: lectures, discussions, master classes in oncopsychology for doctors, as well as additional consultations for patients with suspected disease. Mammologists will explain to them who to contact and what to do next.
The "Pink Ribbon" campaign has been held for three years, during which time more than 25 thousand women have been examined. You can find out where and when you can be examined in your city by calling 8-800-200-70-07, where you can also ask questions about the prevention and treatment of breast cancer. One of the main goals of the campaign is to remind women of the need for regular preventive examinations. According to the organizers of the action, more than half of the Russian women have never been to a mammologist. Thanks to examinations, oncological diseases can be detected in the early stages: 94% of malignant breast tumors detected in time are curable.
