Thames & Hudson has announced that it will soon release a previously unpublished book written and illustrated by Andy Warhol. This is the tale of a fashion-loving snake who knows Jacqueline Kennedy, Elizabeth Taylor and Diana Vreeland. The snake helps them create their best looks: pretending to be a bracelet, wrapping around Taylor's wrist, or wrapping around Vreeland's heel, transforming her shoes.
"Autobiography of the Snake" consists of 22 color illustrations, supplemented by small signatures. These drawings are reminiscent of the days when the father of Pop Art worked at Vogue and was engaged in commercial illustration, creating advertisements and designing books. The fairy tale will go on sale on October 11, it will be possible to order it on the publisher's website.
Last week it became known that Jared Leto will play the ideologue of pop art Andy Warhol in the biopic "Warhol" - the first feature film completely dedicated to the life of an artist, and not to his party or its individual representatives.
