You can find absolutely everything in the lists of trends for the fall-winter 2016 season. From Victorian-inspired clothing to sporty 90s, frivolous boho to heavy punk-style leather and metal constructions. But some designers went all out and mixed it all together. The inspiration of the aesthetics of pioneering deconstructivists like Ray Kawakubo (distortion of shapes, hypertrophied volumes, complex cut, layering) was clearly seen in the shows of Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Givenchy and many others. Despite the fact that it looks a bit theatrical at times on the catwalk, this does not mean that this trend is difficult to transfer into everyday life. Here's how to do it.
Dress in contrasting fabrics and loose-fitting coat
A dress, as if made from different pieces of fabric, contrasting in colors or textures, is the simplest item in the spirit of deconstructivism, which will always be relevant. You can complement such a thing with a monochromatic raincoat or a loose-fitting coat. Choosing shoes and accessories, you can take your soul away and make a choice in favor of an unusual design, for example, a pair of shoes with a geometric heel.
Top, oversized shirt and flared trousers
Layering and oversizing, judging by recent shows, will not go anywhere for a long time. What looks good in a photo may not always look good in everyday life, so it's important to keep a balance here. The voluminous top, consisting of a large shirt and a bright geometric top, can be combined with tailored trousers, slightly flared from the knee. Coarse leather ankle boots with a round buckle help stretch your silhouette.
Top and dress with slits
A sheath dress is a deliberately feminine thing. It is shown from season to season about the same pool of brands, also advocating cuts, lace-ups and high heels. However, even it can be played in the spirit of deconstructivism, so that it ceases to be boring. In this case, a sheath dress with side slits can be worn with a top with a deep round neckline, slightly exposing the shoulders, and ankle boots with a steady heel.
Patchwork sweater and pleated skirt looks
A patchwork sweater is a self-sufficient thing and attracts attention. To make it easier to combine with other things, it is better to opt for a model of muted shades. You can wear it with anything, but the easiest way is with monochrome things. For example, with a trendy pleated skirt in school style.
Asymmetric cape skirt
A garment with an asymmetrical cut can become the basis of an image in the style of deconstructivism. Do not be afraid to put on several of these things at once - this is well illustrated, for example, by the Opening Ceremony collection. The combination of a turtleneck with very long sleeves and an asymmetric skirt will also look interesting. So that the autumn cold is not taken by surprise, you can get boots, which this fall are proposed to be worn with literally everything. Fortunately, you can find a huge number of options in the mass market.
Ruffle Dress and Wide Leg Pants looks
A dress combined with wide trousers is becoming a familiar combination even in the eyes of those who are far from the fashion industry. If you combine a tunic with frills, wide trousers and sneakers, you get a comfortable, sporty look. Down, if desired, you can wear wide or even straight jeans. As shoes, either ankle boots with stable heels or any flat shoes are suitable.
Asymmetric skirt, sweater and long vest
It would seem that business style and deconstructivism are incompatible things, but they are not. Relaxed oversized sweater negates the severity of a long vest, while a lace-trimmed skirt and rugged, masculine boots complete the look.
One shoulder dress and unusual pumps
Those who cannot imagine their life without dresses should take a closer look at one-shoulder models, which can be found in many brands - from luxury to mass market. They are truly versatile, they can be entered into both a casual look and an evening one. If desired, such a thing can be worn with a long-sleeved T-shirt, but for an evening out, it is better to wear a jacket or coat on top.
Asymmetrical Sweater and Leather Skirt looks
The combination of a one-shoulder knit sweater with a leather biker skirt is reminiscent of the 80s era, which everyone was keen on. If you are in favor of layering, it is worth remembering a simple rule: each new layer should be thicker than the previous one. Therefore, you can wear a knitted top or turtleneck under a chunky knit sweater. Sneakers (or any other basic shoe) make the look look modern and uncluttered.
