The first written mention of facial aerobics is found in 1710 in a self-care pamphlet by Jeanne Sauval. Sauval was the personal assistant of Madame Ninon de Lanclos, a French writer known for her extraordinary attractiveness, which, according to the stories of her contemporaries, she managed to preserve until her death at the age of 89. The brochure contained the main secrets of Ninon's youth and beauty, including a description of physical exercises for the face.

Facial aerobics continued to evolve in the early 1900s when Bennett Sanford published his legendary book, Exercising in Bed. It talked about the exercises that need to be done in bed immediately after waking up. By the age of 50, Sanford had acquired a huge number of chronic diseases, which made him look much older - his system helped to cope with the latter. The complex included, among other things, elements similar to those that are now used in Facebook building programs.

In the years that followed, the popularity of facial exercises gained momentum. Women's magazines and newspapers tirelessly talked about different training methods: many are captivated by the idea of ​​noticeable results without serious intervention. The style of the techniques known today was developed in the late 50s and popularized in the 60s by the author of the facelift book Senta Maria Runge.

To date, a lot of texts and books have been written about physical education for the face. The classic is "Five-minute Face-lift: A Daily Program for a Beautiful, Wrinkle-Free Face" by Reinhold Benz, who is credited with the idea of ​​Facebook building. The daily set of workouts consists of 21 techniques and is aimed at training the muscles of the neck, mouth, eyes, eyebrows and forehead. The book is a set of simple and easy-to-follow exercises, and step-by-step photo instructions allow you to avoid mistakes in the program.

Face-building adherents say that regular facial gymnastics can improve the complexion, tighten its contour (due to the same increase in muscle volume), and also keep the skin healthy, elastic and radiant, since training helps to increase blood circulation and the flow of oxygen to the cells. With systematic exercises, the effect becomes noticeable rather quickly. This is because the muscles in the face are much smaller and thinner than other muscles in the body, making it easier to train.No special cosmetics or various gadgets are needed for classes - all exercises are performed only with the help of your fingertips.

According to the author's promises, for a visible effect, it is necessary to carry out her program for only five minutes a day.
