Packaging design in today's competitive environment in the cosmetic market - a significant advantage in the fight for the buyer. Unsurprisingly, brands pay special attention to it. Content is, of course, above form, but when the creators of the products think about both the functionality and the beauty of the bottles and palettes, outstanding products are obtained from all sides. Moore Soboleva collected for us nine of those that not only work diligently, but also decorate the dressing table.
Holika Holika Gudetama collection
Korean brands are champions in cute packaging, and the Holika Holika collection, dedicated to the lazy yolk of Gudetama, a Sanrio character, delights even the most rational people. A lazy and sad egg adorned cushons, blush, lip tints and bottles of care products - hydrophilic oil, dry shampoo and peeling. On most of the bottles, Gudetama is depicted in different poses, so the idea of collecting the entire collection involuntarily arises - besides, the products are really very good.
Grace by Grace Coddington scent
75-year-old Grace Coddington, a strong woman, creative director of American Vogue and one of the queens of the fashion industry, launched her first fragrance with Comme des Garçons this year. It can be seen that Coddington clearly knows what he wants. Firstly, she dreamed that her signature perfume would be built around her favorite rose note, and secondly, to refer to her love for cats. Grace has been collecting figures and images of cats for many years and keeps several pets. As a result, Grace is almost a mono-scent of rose, and the bottle in the shape of a cat comes with postcards with Coddington's drawings, which, correctly, depict cats.
Blush Anna Sui Cream Cheek Color
Designer Anna Sui makes not only clothes and fragrances, but also cosmetics less well-known in wide circles, which fully reflects the brand's style: flirty and whimsical, without unnecessary sweetness. Her black varnished bottles with curls, I think, would be happy to put on their tables by sad Victorian young ladies. Sui has a lot of beautiful products - just star-shaped lipstick - but we picked out this year's newest, creamy blush. Sui was inspired by postage stamps when creating them: a sponge is inserted into the round bottle, which can be used to “stamp” the cheek and conveniently blend the pigment.
Balsam Benefit Dr. Feelgood
The cheerful brand from San Francisco has always paid a lot of attention to both the beauty of the packaging and the unusual presentation. It is not easy to choose the cutest jar in their assortment: the new collection for eyebrows, designed as magician's tools, and the Porefessional series with the heroine - a secret agent, and cardboard boxes of blush are also good. Perhaps, the old hit of the brand stands out - the colorless matting balm Dr. Feelgood, which can be used as a base or over makeup instead of powder. The product is packaged in a round retro tin can, on the lid of which there is a picture in the spirit of a silent movie - for such beauty it is easy to forgive the absence of a mirror.
Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette
Americans Too Faced used to be very fond of palettes with pin-up beauties on boxes, but now she has a new, literally sweet style: the brand makes palettes dedicated to peaches, peanut butter and chocolates. Chocolate Bar, the brand's bestseller, is available in three flavors: Black, Milk and Box of Chocolates. The shades have corresponding tasty names and shades, plus the palettes are flavored - and now you see not a basic set of neutral shadows, but a thing without which life is not sweet.
Moschino Toy Fragrance
The first fragrance of the house Moschino under the leadership of new creative director, mocker Jeremy Scott, is hidden in the body of a teddy bear, whose T-shirt says “This is not a Moschino toy”. The bear is packed in a standard box, and to get to the scent, the toy needs to naturally unscrew its head, which confuses some especially gentle users. The fragrance itself is a cedar-violet unisex. This is the case when form prevails over content: whatever the smell, the teddy bear draws all the attention to itself.
Blush Les Merveilleuses de Ladurée Face Color Rose
The quivering French brand Ladurée produces not only expensive and delicious pasta cakes, but also cosmetics in delicate bottles, as if intended for Versailles dressing tables. The star of Ladurée is the rose petal blush housed in an elegant bowl and lid: a blatantly impractical and equally attractive beauty product. The pigment is sprayed on the fabric petals, so that the blush will look attractive to the finish - no frayed holes. A bottle of heavenly beauty: put this on the table - and immediately you feel like Marie Antoinette in the interpretation of Sofia Coppola.
Bath bomb Lush "Baby Robot"
The kings of bath products produce many bombs, one prettier than the other - Lush loves hearts, dried flowers and cosmic overflows, and for each holiday they release limited products (now you can buy cute Halloween monsters). From the funds of the constant assortment, mini-bombs "Mimimishka" in the form of a bear and "Baby Robot" are fighting for the title of the cutest. Initially designed for children - these bombs are smaller than the usual ones and have soothing aromas - but the green robot bath is not discarded at any age.
Pupa Kits Pupacat
The cheerful Italian brand loves funny palette-boxes - many girls started their acquaintance with cosmetics with them: Pupa has good quality, and sets usually include calm and universal shades. We have already seen bears and nesting dolls performed by the brand, but with charming cats it hit the mark. They were so actively sorted out before last Christmas that the brand seems to have decided to include them in the permanent range. The kits are available in four sizes - from a baby cat with glitter lips to a big chubby cat, which hides products for the face, eyes and lips.
