The Guardian reports that in January 2017 the BBC plans to release a documentary, David Bowie. The Last Five Years”- a picture of the fruitful last years of the musician's life, who left us on January 10 this year. The title of the film refers to another BBC documentary - “David Bowie. Five Years”, which was released in 2013. The premiere of the new film is scheduled for January 8 - on that day, Bowie would have turned 70 years old.
In the last years of his life, Bowie released two albums - "The Next Day" and "Blackstar", which was released two days before the artist's death, and also worked on the musical "Lazarus", which is now shown in London. Producer Tony Visconti, who has worked with Bowie for over forty years, also contributed to the documentary. It is known that the film will include rare archival footage and original vocals for the Blackstar album.
The film "The Last Five Years" already has a trailer, but for some reason the authors of the video banned it for showing in Russia. If you don't know how, or just don't want to get around the ban, you can watch the Blackstar music video or listen to the Wonderzine playlist of thirty great Bowie songs that we have collected in memory of the musician.
