FOR THE HEADING "WARDROBE" we photograph beautifully, distinctively or oddly dressed people in their favorite things and ask them to tell stories related to them. This week our heroine is the photographer Yulia Mayorova.

I am a photographer, so dressing comfort is always a priority for me. Although comfort, of course, is a rather lengthy concept: sometimes it is much nicer in a sequin overalls than in a tracksuit, if right now you feel that it is yours. For a long time I have not bought shoes with heels, synthetics and too short skirts or shorts. I can safely put on all the things in my wardrobe for shooting without worrying about having to sit down, lie on the ground, run, and so on. Plus, I've had two big moves in the last year, so after a forced cleaning, more than half of my wardrobe went to charity and to vacuum bags, which I can't imagine when I open it next time. Total: I am in Los Angeles, and I have one and a half suitcases of things in my hands that can be successfully combined, easy to care for, pleasant to the touch and do not take up much space in the closet.

Massimo Dutti shirt, Monki cardigan, Diane von Furstenberg shorts, Teva sandals, Ray Ban glasses

I fell in love with the shirt at first sight, but over time it turned out that with trousers it looked so-so - too long. But with these shorts it is great to wear, it is comfortable and at the same time goes under any dress code. If I come to the shooting like that, I look like a very serious photographer, I like it. Teva are the most beloved and comfortable sandals. After I realized this, I really wanted to buy the same black ones, but, unfortunately, I can't find them anywhere.

Vintage Jacket, adidas Originals Shorts, adidas NMD Trainers, Marc Jacobs Backpack, Ray Ban Sunglasses

The vintage jacket was dug up in Los Angeles at the Jet Rag store on a Sunday flea market. The shorts almost look like a skirt and people look at them strangely. NMD sneakers are my favorite pair of this year, they are very comfortable and look great almost always, it's a pity that I had to leave the other two pairs in Moscow.

Monki T-shirt, Monki jumpsuit, Monki socks, adidas NMD sneakers, Ray Ban glasses

Yes, I really love Monki. Every time I take a bunch of things to the fitting room, and everything suits me - it's a miracle. Note to all small girls: Monki fits perfectly on us. Ray Ban glasses are already super pop, but I really love them, and I already have a whole collection. I bought these blue leather-framed ones in Italy four years ago.

When I bought this jacket, the consultant at Tsvetnoy tried to dissuade me, motivating it by the fact that all of Moscow would soon be wearing it, but nothing came of it. In Moscow, I saw her a couple of times on other girls, and now we have moved to Los Angeles - and here I have not met her yet. These jeans are my favorites; none of the skinny jeans fit me as well as the skinny jeans from Topshop. I wear them on set with the Black Tie dress code, to the supermarket, and wherever I go. True, they start to fade a little faster than we would like, but this even gives them charm.

ASOS turtleneck, American Apparel skirt, Dr. Martens

Black and white T-shirts, turtlenecks, all basic things I love to order at ASOS. The American Apparel skirt was a gift from a friend, and this is my favorite skirt in my wardrobe: I wear it on set with a shirt or turtleneck, and to parties with a sweater and sneakers. Doctor Martens boots are the only shoe with a small heel that I decided to keep after moving.

I wore the dress twice, but I do not lose hope. Glitter is constantly falling off of it, but I like that it does not have a cutout in the front, but it classically emphasizes the back and shoulders in the back.

Vintage jeans, unknown shawl, Monki T-shirt, Timberland boots

The jeans are vintage, I have no idea who wore them before me, but they fit as if they were made to order according to my measurements. When I put them on, music from the TV series "Stranger Things" plays in my head.I have never worn headscarves before, but this year I visited Amsterdam for a Coldplay concert. The opening act was Lianne La Havas in the same - she looked so cool that I decided to get mine out of the bins and now I put it on from time to time.

Nike sweatshirt, Levi's shorts, Gosha Rubchinskiy cap, Timberland boots, IKEA backpack, Ray Ban glasses

When I walk like that somewhere in Hollywood, people look closely - suddenly this celebrity is encrypted. But no, just a super-comfortable set to hide from the bright sun. By the way, homeless people here look about the same, if not better. The IKEA backpack is big and super comfortable, bought it last month and now use it instead of a photo backpack on set.

I bought the dress a year and a half ago - it has a super simple cut, it does not need to be ironed, it is very comfortable to wear, and with the right accessories it can be passed off as a cocktail dress. I recently wore it for a major award shoot - and nothing worked.

Vintage kimono, H&M shirt, Monki shorts, Dr. Martens, Ray Ban glasses

The kimono is much warmer than it looks. In general, it looks more like a bathrobe, which is why I liked it.

Rains raincoat, Topshop jeans, Nike sneakers, LA Dodgers cap

I saw the Rains raincoat of an unrealistically beautiful mint color back in Amsterdam, but a couple of days before that I bought a raincoat there, so I walked by and tried to throw it out of my head. As a result, after a rainy week in Moscow, I remembered him in a conversation with my husband, and the next day he brought me a beautiful box with this very raincoat inside.

Calvin Klein watches, Aloha Gaia rings, vintage earrings, unknown brand pendant, choker - a gift from a friend

I don't actually wear a watch, but I really like this one. Dima's husband gave them to me six years ago: about three years ago, the battery in them, which I never changed. Anyway, sometimes I wear them as an accessory and I hope that no one asks for the time. I love rings, but at some point I realized that the larger the ring, the less likely I will wear it, so I took only these two with me to America. I bought the pendant in some small shop with silver in Greece, earrings at a flea market in Rome, and a friend made the choker. In general, I really love it when people know how to perfectly select accessories and wear them with taste, but, unfortunately, this is not about me.

For me, this scent is associated with Bali, the beach, sunscreen, ylang-ylang and coconut scents - in general, this is the smell of vacation.

To be honest, I just forgot to take her for the shoot, if I had not forgotten, she would have been in half the bows.

Camper Slippers

Yes, I wear them down the street. I bought them a few years ago in Rome, they are just fine at temperatures from plus 8 to plus 20, so I wear them all the time. The husband constantly threatens to burn them.
