IN THE HEADING "LIFESTYLE" we ask different people about healthy lifestyles with a human face: we talk about the importance of taking care of ourselves and pleasant ways to make life more comfortable. In the new issue, analyst and amateur athlete Artyom Gerasimenko, founder of the SocioBeg initiative, tells what he eats, where he trains and how he lives in order to feel good.

FOR ME GOOD FEELING IS A FRESH HEAD with clear thoughts, ease of movement, positive attitude, even deep breathing and the desire to turn on some music. Severity or pain during movement, discomfort in the body, drowsiness and unexplained anger - this is when the opposite is true.

DAY I BEGIN WITH WATER: showering and drinking (I prefer bottled water). If it's a “sporty” day, you can shower after a running workout or in the pool. Then - mail, social networks, news.

UNDER 26 YEARS OLD THOUGHT ABOUT PHYSICAL ACTIVITY - sport was fun for me. Then I realized that if you don't start to change something, it will get worse. I began to run a lot, finished in dozens of competitions, ran four marathons - one of them on the ice across the frozen Baikal.

FOR THE FIVE YEARS THAT I HAVE BEEN ACTIVE IN SPORT, I began to like myself more. There are still open questions to myself, and there are more than few of them.

I WORK IN THE TEAM OF THE STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT CENTER, charged with preparing a new economic program for the country. Before that, I spent two years in the Moscow Department of Transport. This is sedentary work, constant meetings and 24/7 analytics.

ALL THIS TIME I DEVELOPED THE SOCIEFEAGE PROJECT IN PARALLEL: as part of this initiative, running training is becoming a way to socialize orphans and allow them to finally get to know their neighbors. In the summer, together with the Avant-Garde Center, I launched "Sports History" - a series of jogging excursions around Moscow districts. The satisfied faces of the pupils and the interest of the architecture students who came to the training are more important to me than just the opportunity to run.

THE HARDEST FOR ME TO MAINTAIN A HEALTHY DIET. Food is often a way to relieve stress, reward yourself for something, and the same goes for alcohol. I tried to count the food eaten in the app, it works. As soon as I was convinced of this, attention shifted, so that the habit never appeared.

NOW I AM LESSER SWIMMING and discovering a sports bike. In other words, I'm drifting into a triathlon. I plan to go through the Olympic distance next year, there will be a lot of training.

WHILE TRAVELING AND TRAVELING I TRY do sport. Jogging around a new city is an opportunity to get to know it better and start navigating it faster. And in many cities you can find gorgeous swimming pools: in Batumi, one with a sea view is located on the roof of a shopping center, and in Wroclaw it is hidden in a historic building.

DUE TO HURRY OR ANY OTHER TURBULENCE the image of the desired fish with herbs can dissolve into reality from a hot dog and a piece of cake. In this case, an internal conflict arises. Once, after a banquet at a forum in Geneva, a colleague came up to me and said that she did not believe that I was eating so much harmful: "You are an athlete and advocate a healthy lifestyle." It was a little embarrassing.

MOST USEFUL ADVICE for the health I have ever gotten, not skateboarding while the shoulder ligaments are healing. Mom said it, but I didn’t listen. In my youth, I skated on different boards, spent about five years hiking in emergency rooms and in operating rooms.Now two or three times during the winter I allow myself light fun on a snowboard, but without fanaticism.

I SEE NO SENSE IN EXTREME RESTRICTIONS. I saw people who very much forced themselves into frames, not allowing any indulgences. This is an exercise for the strong, but it builds up negative experiences.

THE WHOLE ENVIRONMENT IS IMPORTANT FOR PSYCHOLOGICAL HEALTH and work, the sum of our internal and external emotions: from communicating with people, moving around the city, from the convenience of sidewalks and cleanliness of door handles in offices. For myself and my loved ones, I try to build my life in such a way as to minimize the pressure on the psyche, I am very sensitive to this. But at the same time I love the metro!
