The 80s have been talked about so often lately and so much that this decade could have set the teeth on edge. And yet the fact remains - there are no more fashionable references for images in the new season. And judging by the shows of the autumn-winter season, this trend will remain with us in the next one. We will tell you how to combine things that somehow remind us of the style of the 80s, and at the same time look modern.

Ruffle shirt and leopard print
midi skirt
The combination of a shirt with ruffles, which creates additional volume and gives the thing a well-known "elegance", and a leopard skirt - as in the Preen Line lookbook - at first glance may seem a little lurid, but this season the risk is justified. Nevertheless, keep yourself in hand: the kit should not contain unnecessary parts.
Such an image, despite some frivolity, is suitable not only for a theme party: here you can safely flirt with all the iconic elements of the decade - from extreme makeup to voluminous careless hairstyles and large jewelry. In other cases, it is better to balance the image with shoes with flat soles or not very high heels and laconic accessories.

Metallic raincoat and sandals
A silvery parka or trench coat doesn't seem as practical as traditional khaki or nude designs. Still, it's a great alternative to pair with regular jeans and dressy dresses. If you decide to add several accents in the style of the 80s to your look at once - rely on sandals in stones or a textured mini-bag with sequins.

Bulky shoulder blouse and high-waisted flared trousers
We have already written about blouses, dresses and jackets with voluminous shoulders in the best traditions of power dressing. You can see ideas for combinations with these things in the Céline lookbook or at the Jacquemus show. If you don't want to stand out from the crowd, flared trousers with a high waist will be the best companion for such a blouse. As shoes, you can choose both sneakers and mules or shoes with a pointed toe.

Letter top and fancy jeans
Tops and hoodies with lettering and logos are one of the most obvious trends of the season, which is more or less related to the 80s. Among the ironic inscriptions, there are serious statements and even appeals hinting at your civic position. Whether to use a T-shirt as such is up to you. But if you supplement it with iconic sneakers, whose silhouette also hails from the 80s, and wide fantasy jeans, you get a relevant and comfortable look for every day.

Fringe Mini Dress and Platform Sandals looks
Surprising but true: if you assemble an image entirely from things created in the 80s in a vintage store, it will almost certainly look too aggressive for today's reality. Leopard print, bright beads, neon color, broad shoulders, sequins and lamé - all of these accents work today. The main thing is to combine them correctly. And yet 2017 is about moderation, but not about boredom. This does not mean that a dress with small fringes can only be worn with black pumps. Try pairing fringe with metallic sandals - a normal option for a summer party.

Fluffy sweater and banana pants
“Ugly” coarse knit sweaters are also one of the signs of the times that can cheer up those around you. You can wear these, of course, with anything: shorts, mini-skirts or light dresses. Try pairing them with jeans that resemble the famous "bananas" in silhouette. Heels or flat soles are your choice, but we'd go for sequinned sandals.

Bomber and miniskirt looks
The bomber can be seen in any movie about teenagers made in the 80s, from The Breakfast Club to Ferris Bueller Takes A Day Off. It can be either neutral black or with an Asian print. Complement it with a metallic fabric mini skirt and belt bag and attention is guaranteed.

Blouse with abstract print and wide belt
If your childhood was in the Soviet 90s, then you probably remember your mother's blouses and dresses with an abstract geometric print. These ultra-fashionable things for that time in the West were relevant even before that and came to us with some delay. This blouse is good in itself, but if you want to add another accent to it, choose a wide belt, which was worn with jackets and regular tops in the 80s.

Oversized Blouse and Leggings looks
The general fashion for a healthy lifestyle and aerobics has left in our memory the things associated with them. There is no escape from the persistent association "80s - leggings". Today, sports leggings are also worn everywhere. But, if you think leggings are unacceptable for work, choose options from narrow and very tight pants. For example, this model with beautiful drapery. You can complement it with a loose blouse or hoodie.

Vinyl trench coat and sock ankle boots
If you decide to buy a vinyl raincoat, then pay attention to the laconic cut models. Despite the fact that this material has not been associated exclusively with BDSM aesthetics for a long time, it can take on unnecessary attention. Ankle boots and a cap will help create a modern look with it.
