Taylor Swift has filed a lawsuit against radio host David Mueller on harassment charges - the singer claims that in 2013, during a joint photo shoot, he put his hand under her skirt and pinched her ass. Swift immediately reported the incident to the radio station's management, after which Mueller was fired.
In 2015, the host filed a lawsuit against Swift, in which he argued that she put pressure on the management of the radio station, which caused him to lose his job. Swift filed a counterclaim against Mueller on charges of harassment - both sides refused to resolve the issue out of court.
Yesterday Swift testified in court: “His hand remained there even when I tried to move away. It was not an accident,”she said. In response, Mueller said that he could accidentally touch the singer, but did not do it on purpose.
Now the DJ is demanding compensation in the amount of $ 3 million from Swift - the singer, in turn, requested a symbolic compensation in the amount of one dollar. It’s not the money that matters, she said, but the proof that Mueller’s actions were unacceptable. By her example, she wants to inspire victims of harassment to always defend their dignity.
The verdict will be announced next week.
