Russian Yulia Samoilova showed the musical number that she will present at Eurovision 2018 in Lisbon. The composition was named “I Won’t Break” (“I won’t break”) by Leonid Gutkin, Natta Nimrodi and Arie Burshtein. The video was shot by director Alexey Golubev. “This is a song about me. The authors seemed to deliberately set themselves the goal of translating my own thoughts and experiences into music. This is not so much a gentle ballad as a song with a core,”the singer told Channel One. The competition will take place from 8 to 12 May.
Yulia Samoilova has had the first group of disabilities since childhood and uses a wheelchair. The singer has repeatedly become a laureate of Russian and foreign music competitions and festivals and in 2017 was supposed to represent Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev, but the Security Service of Ukraine banned her from entering the country because of her performances in Crimea.
