Samizdat SVOY, launched by photographer Yevgeny Feldman last year, made it to the fourth issue and, it seems, set a personal record: the money for it was collected in just five days. This is another confirmation that the nineties - and the new issue is dedicated to them - do not want to let go. But the point is not only this, but also the fact that the main contributor to the project was Igor Mukhin, a photographer who was in the thick of events since the late eighties and who shot the heroes of the era, as they say, in their natural habitat. Mukhin already did an exhibition about the nineties last year at the Yeltsin Center, but for the current publication he selected several dozen more frames that had not been published anywhere before, which makes this issue a truly collectible item.
The extensive photo archive includes columns by Leonid Parfyonov, leader of the punk band Tarakany, Dmitry "Sid" Spirin, and journalist Natalia Zotova.
