FOR THE HEADING "WARDROBE" we photograph beautifully, distinctively or oddly dressed people wearing their favorite things and ask them to tell stories related to them. This week our heroine is the stylist and senior fashion editor of Glamor Masha Pepelova.

Interview: Dasha Knyazeva

My style is still taking shape - Now Alena Kuzmina helps me to hone it. I get rid of what does not paint me. During the penultimate move, Alena, I and her husband took out five boxes of things, so that there were two rails and a chest of drawers with clothes. It's cool, because I wear everything that I have - nothing lies "until better times", everything goes into action.

Previously, I was pretty stormy in terms of style, but now I figured out my favorite wardrobe items: midi-length dresses and skirts, open tops, slip dresses, jackets. The main items are raincoats, trench coats and coats, depending on the season. Well, the PPCM hoodie - I have three of them. Most of all, romantic dresses and sundresses suit me, but mini-skirts and shorts are clearly not my topic. I love to dress up: hats, rings and earrings - this is me. Mostly I wear Maria Stern jewelry, I love them a lot.

Nowadays I hardly buy things just like that. Bulk purchase several times a year only at the Walk of Shame sales - this is my ideal brand. The second favorite brand is Prada. Recently, I definitely take a headdress from the current collection, while I have three of them. I buy basic turtlenecks and T-shirts at SOS. I really love the H&M Studio collections - in almost every one I find myself a couple of things that always collect compliments. Basically, I don't need anything else.

I love buying things from those I know. So, Alena told me about Anya Druzhinina and her brand M_U_R, and I already ordered a couple of sets from her. I rarely go to second-hand shops - only on trips, when knowledgeable people take them to interesting places. I really like Zhenya Fedoseeva's Sentaku project - I will definitely order something, there is a great selection. I often check what's new on The Outnet, but I rarely order from there.

No matter how much I want to bring my style to a common denominator, I still can't do it. I always look a little weird and never perfect. Nevertheless, almost any thing for me is a memory of when I bought it, from whom, in what city and with whose help.

Vintage shirt, Wood Wood top, M_U_R pants, & Other Stories shoes, Maria Stern chain, Gucci glasses

I take these trousers from Anya's beige collection on all trips where there is sunshine and you can wear short tops. From the same collection I have a skirt, a top and a jacket - I love everything dearly and wear it regularly. And you don't need to iron them! In a house where there is no iron, this is a big plus.

I got the shirt for four hundred rubles in a second-hand "Vo! Va!" - it is soft and does not wrinkle, there is some kind of cool embroidery inside. I bought it when I went to visit my parents in Vologda, where, by the way, there are a couple of excellent second-hand shops.

The chain was presented to me by Masha Stern for my birthday. It is long, so I wear it in two turns, and sometimes like a belt. With short hair, however, she looks too brutal, so I'm waiting for them to grow back.

Dress and beret - Walk of Shame, top "Vologda linen", cloak 032с, Reebok x Walk of Shame sneakers

This dress is fully consistent with the brand name. Last spring I was sent to London: the flight was at seven in the morning, but the day before I went to celebrate my birthday, so I was home at three in the morning. She opened her eyes two hours before departure, and packed her suitcase in five minutes. I put on a dress that someone had already burned, and this cloak. I remember we went to dinner the first night and the waiter poured a pint of beer on me. Luckily, Walk of Shame helped me transform this path of shame into a new fold in the fabric. But how many memories!

My favorite cloak. I bought it at KM20 at full cost, which I rarely do. In it, I flew to Berlin with a friend to the Bonobo concert. So we are running across the Rosa Luxemburg Square to have a cremant before the concert, and the fashion director of 032c Mark Goering is sitting on the veranda of some institution and shouting something to me in German. We decided that he complimented my outfit.

Prada belt, vintage bag from Oldich Dress & Drink

I bought the belt a long time ago, but it still serves faithfully. I remember coming back from work in London for the first time and selling the entire fee at a sale at Prada. She went for shoes, and in the end she left with a bag, a trench coat, a belt, the very same shoes and a pair of sandals.

H&M Studio Jacket, Vintage Dress, & Other Stories Shoes, Belt and Hat - Prada, Vintage Bag from Oldich Dress & Drink

I bought a small flower dress in London during a working trip - then we met with Anya Kolpakova and Sasha Ludevik from the June & July agency, and Anya took us to an excellent second-hand. In it, I found the perfect pink Polo Ralph Lauren shirt and a transparent robe from the brand with the cool name Aperitif. I wear all of the above, which makes me happy.

I bought a vintage bag in a lockable Oldich Dress & Drink - in tears because it was my favorite bar! I still miss him. Then I found a gorgeous silk Thai bomber jacket, which I forgot to take for this shoot. I began to wear these things only now - apparently, I have grown up.

Corset, skirt and jacket - M_U_R, chain

and earrings - Maria Stern, Blundstone boots

This kit is the first thing I ordered from Anya. It was handed over to me in the old fashioned way from St. Petersburg by train from friends of my acquaintances the day before my trip to last Fashion Week in Milan. I don’t even know why we didn’t order delivery, but it’s great to go to the train for a bow. When my mother saw my photos in these things, she said that she would give them to me for my birthday. The corset can be worn over shirts and turtlenecks. The only negative is everything with Velcro, which sometimes cling to wool and silk.

Panama Prada, Dior ring, vintage clips, 55 jewelry mono earring, vintage ring

Panama offers excellent protection from snow, rain and sun - just like Taft Three Weather. The ring was presented by the brand for my birthday.

Walk of Shame dress, Polo Ralph Lauren shirt, Prada shoes

Those same satin Mary Jane shoes. We saw the light once in the summer when I put them on to work. The shirt from the trip to London, which I mentioned above. I bought a dress for a long time at a sale in TSUM - I prepared it in case I was invited to a wedding. And so it happened! True, the invitation was later canceled, citing the fact that, it turns out, witnesses are not necessary for registering a marriage. In general, I just wore it to the set and partying this summer, and with a shirt to work.

Dress, belt and hat - Prada, Blundstone boots

Katya Mukhina gave me the dress when I was her personal assistant. Boots look best in summer with a swimsuit - I checked. But in winter in Moscow they are saving the third season - they have nothing to do with it.

Burberry's clips, Walk of Shame raincoat

It is Burberry's that is vintage. And I just love raincoats and Walk of Shame.

Maria Stern earrings, Pêche Péché necklace, Zhenya Mandzhieva Jewelry necklace, top Walk of Shame

Once Masha Stern sent me a photo of Alena Chandler in this top with the caption "What kind of beauty is this!" In the end, I came to the last WoS sale, and this top looked at me like that.

Cloak Walk of Shame, long sleeve J.Crew, Re / Done jeans, Cossacks Calvin Klein 205W39NYC, Prada cap

I go to J.Crew out of love for their account Drunk J.Crew U Guys - the funniest one for me. Adore. Well, their base is excellent! I ordered the jeans on "outnetics" - I spied them from a colleague Masha Chumachenko. Masha has a super taste, and she allowed it!

Boots are this winter's investment. I realized that I wear Cossacks most of the time, and these are ideal. I ordered it on Farfetch. The cap was given to me by an ex-boyfriend when we had already separated. Thank you, Borya!

Céline Pendant, Vintage Chain, Balenciaga Bag

I bought a pendant after all the mess with Phoebe's departure and Slimane's appointment. The bag was acquired during the short period of Alexander Wang.

COS T-shirt, Jacquemus skirt, M_U_R top

Ani Druzhinina's top is ideally matched to the skirt of Simon Porta Jacquemus. I bought it with the thought that soon Jacquemus will cost as Prada, and I have to think about the future. As for Anya's things - she, in my opinion, is our Jacquemus.

Death Rites Long Sleeve Top, Walk of Shame Pants, Jimmy Choo Shoes, Dior Bandana

The Death Rites longsleeve was given to me last year for my birthday by my friend Vic, with whom we went to Germany to look at the Rakotzbrücke bridge. Longsleeve was seen at the Firmament on Rosa-Luxembourg-Platz. I love black jackets, Vika and I have a joke "black jacket - you will be happy." She says that dresses are, of course, wonderful, but what could be better than a black sweater?

Alexa Chung x Marks & Spencer chemise, PPCM hoodie, Levashovaelagina earring, Jimmy Choo shoes, Attico profiles

On the day of the Bonobo concert, I was wearing the same Alexa Chung x Marks & Spencer shirt and a white PPCM hoodie, which I bought after the concert at Kiselev's studio in Berlin. Kitten heels are my favorite shoes, which in the last year I have worn with everything: dresses, jeans, shorts, sweatpants. It was this pair that I bought from a friend for a penny. I learned the word “questionnaires” on the same day that I ordered these: I saw “I’ll go this way” from a friend on her Telegram channel and realized that I needed them. Thanks to Ira, in addition to fashion items and sales for cool things, she posts vintage finds there.

Cloak & Slip - Walk of Shame, Gosha Rubchinskiy Hoodie, Jimmy Choo Shoes

I bought a hoodie at Tsvetnoy - it reminds me of a tent. I love that. I took it and thought that these fourteen thousand were in memory of the Gosha Rubchinskiy brand.

Gosha Rubchinskiy beret, Balenciaga bag

My ex-boyfriend Vova gave me a beret for the New Year.

Kalmanovich dress, shoes & Other Stories

And this dress is waiting for a date. I think all of Yulia's things are created for them and for dancing on the table.
