Many makeup artists have to carry with them everywhere a whole suitcase of cosmetics and tools. To save space and make the case lighter, craftsmen often prefer versatile tools. Ideally, a makeup artist should be ready for any task, but in reality, no one takes the entire supply of cans for shooting. Savvy helps: most likely, you can mix the necessary tool from those that are at hand. Polina Nagornykh tells about universal recipes that will be useful in everyday life.
Dense tone + nourishing cream

The long-lasting matte tone that lays on the skin and enhances its texture can be tamed by mixing with the cream. So the base will become more plastic and pliable. A few thin layers will hide the pigmentation, and the makeup will still look natural.
Color pigment + aloe gel

In the MAC Pro line, you can find a whole series of special products for mixing cosmetics - there is even a cream base for creating your own mascara. But if you want to draw colored arrows, and you don't want to buy a new product, try using aloe gel. It can be mixed with loose pigment, one drop is enough for the correct consistency. The mixture dries quickly and sets.
Matte lipstick + metallic eyeshadow

Many liquid lipsticks with a metallic effect, unfortunately, do not lay flat. The situation can be improved by trying to get the desired glow, try stuffing the eyeshadow over your regular long-lasting lipstick. In addition, this technique gives a lot of scope for experimenting with shades. Do not forget to moisturize your lips, let the lipstick set and apply shadows on top with the pad of your finger.
Hair gel + eye shadow

With the help of a strong hold gel and any color pigment, you can make a long-lasting mascara for eyebrows - it will cope with all the tasks of a product from a store with a bang. True, we do not recommend using such a potion on the eyelashes: you can earn not a weak irritation of the mucous membranes of the eyes.
Broken highlighter + body cream

YouTube is replete with tutorials on rescuing broken eyeshadows and blush, while gluing the pressed product back is not at all necessary. If you accidentally break a beautiful highlighter, crush the leftovers and mix with moisturizer. You will get excellent body care and make-up in one bottle. Remember to shake the mixture before applying.
Eyebrow tint + concealer

Try mixing an eyebrow tint with a concealer or tone for the ultimate sculpting tool to keep the tubing out of the way. An ordinary eyebrow pencil is also suitable: apply it to the back of your hand, warm it up slightly with your fingers, and then add a drop of tone.
Lipstick + lip balm

This is the most obvious, but still a cool recipe for mixing your own makeup, especially if a lot of matte lipsticks have settled on the bottom of the bag. From pigmented products, you can make a moisturizing colored tint: just melt the lipstick and balm, mix them and pour into an empty jar.
