I Am Not OK

The hashtag #iamnotOK began spreading on social networks a couple of days ago, shortly after the launch of the website of the movement of the same name, the purpose of which is to draw attention to the problem of domestic violence (from which, according to campaign organizers, an average of twenty people suffer every minute in the United States alone). The site asks visitors to share their stories about their experiences: quotes from some of the stories can be found on Instagram.

One of the first to support the movement was actress Evan Rachel Wood, who told her story on the social network: “I'm not okay, because no matter how much I work, I still seek peace and a sense of security. I'm still trying to put it all behind me, but I'm not sure if I can really do it. I’m not okay because I don’t remember what it’s like to live without fear all the time.”

Let us remind you that the Violence.net center, among others, deals with the problem of domestic violence in Russia. On his website, you can support their activities, as well as find instructions for people who are victims of domestic violence.
