This spring, designers indulged in nostalgia to their heart's content: recalled the 80s with power dressing, the 90s and grunge, zeroes and kitsch. One thing has remained unchanged for three decades - bleached and boiled denim, which will be everywhere in the next six months. We tell you what is interesting in the stores.
Jackets
The easiest way to befriend a trend. Firstly, a denim jacket is easy to wear with absolutely everything (and in the current weather - also as an additional layer of "insulation"). Secondly, the jacket, as if made of faded denim, will probably be found on the mezzanine, in the closet of parents or in the country. Look for new models in all colors - from milky white to pinkish - in the mass market and at denim brands like Lee, Levi's or Re / Done.
Jeans
This spring, the designers did not agree on a single style or shade. Versions with streaks and spots show many brands, but we are closest to the good old total look performed by John Elliott and the combination of many textures and prints in the R13 collection. What is especially valuable, over time, frayed jeans and fabric with stains will fade beautifully.
Skirts
As for the length and style, the designers again have no consensus - this spring, radical mini, and "hippie" maxi, and win-win midi are in use. Which is absolutely certain - the more abrasions, the better! We advise you to try on a mini with lace bicycles and your favorite fleece, and a pencil skirt - with a voluminous jacket and Cossacks.
Shorts
The shorts have increased in length this spring, many brands are showing narrow knee-length models - something like denim bicycles. These will look great with a suiting jacket and a pair of square-toed mules. It is convenient to complement extra-short denim shorts in the city with bicycles made of translucent fabric or lace - such a combo will be appropriate both at a rave and at a brunch with friends.
Accessories
From simple shoppers to panama hats and boots, the imaginations of designers can only be envied. For a denim combo, add a pair of denim accessories to a whitewashed trench coat of the same material or work overalls. The more shades of denim you can put together in one look, the better.
Dresses
This spring, shops will find classic denim sundresses, midi cocktail dresses with puffed arms, relaxed light sundresses, and even “prefabricated” models of two types of denim. The best pair for this kind of stuff are square toe shoes, a cyclist bag and a bucket hat with ribbons.
