According to TASS, the Ministry of Health intends to prepare bills prohibiting the dissemination of information about the refusal of vaccinations. According to the newspaper, the first deputy head of the department, Tatyana Yakovleva, proposed to introduce responsibility for the publication of such appeals.
“Through the media, the Internet, religious sects, and so on, there is a lot of information spreading about vaccines and vaccinations, which is often not objective and undermines citizens' confidence in vaccination,” she said.
Yakovleva stressed that non-compliance with the ban would be equated to an administrative offense and established not only for the citizens themselves, but also for the media. As one of the methods of combating opponents of immunization, they propose to block sites that distribute such information.
Recall that in December last year, the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report published new WHO statistics on the growth of measles infection around the world. According to the organization, for the period of 2017, the number of cases increased by 30% compared to the same period in 2016.
