Sports brand Reebok has announced the launch of the Cotton + Corn program, in which they plan to develop sustainable footwear production. The first model in the new line is the NPC UK Cotton + Corn sneaker, which is made up of biodegradable components. So, the soles were made of corn, and the insoles were made of castor oil. In addition, the shoes themselves will be packed in recycled boxes. The model is presented in both female and male versions, however, now it can only be found in one color version.

“After a series of tests with renewable natural resources, we have succeeded - we have released sneakers from natural ingredients that cannot be distinguished from ordinary ones. It is the only shoe on the market to be certified by the USDA as 75% biomaterial. And for Reebok, this is just the beginning,”said Bill McInnis, Head of Innovation at ReebokFuture.

The model can be found in eight Reebok and Reebok Classic stores, as well as on the website. The cost of one pair will be 6990 rubles.
