IN THE HEADING "IN BOOKMARKS" we talk about sites and online services - both useful and completely useless, but funny and amazing - which, in fact, should be added to your favorites or added to your RSS feed.
Today there are more and more honest stories about motherhood - not as a woman's “duty”, but as a deliberate choice, not as an easy and “natural” matter, but as a change of identity, a long journey, which may also face many difficulties. The Motherhood Sessions podcast is dedicated to the latter. Its author and host is Alexandra Saks, a psychiatrist specializing in reproductive issues and difficulties.
The podcast episodes are not psychotherapeutic sessions, although they are very similar to them: in each episode a new heroine talks about her situation, and Sachs helps her understand what is happening and find the strength to act. The stories are not easy: for example, the first heroine is forced to raise her son along with an abusive and abusive ex-husband, and the second never wanted a child, but succumbed to the pressure of others - and now she thinks that without her daughter her life would be completely different. Alexandra Saks very carefully approaches each participant and helps them, first of all, to be kinder to themselves and rethink their own childhood - so that with the help of this they understand what kind of mothers they would like to become.
