WE REGULARLY PROVIDE A PLACE FOR PREMIER WORKS novice and already well-known musicians, directors or artists. For them, this is an opportunity to tell people about themselves, and for readers - to be the first to know about new products.
Today the debut album "Sparkle" of the project of the same name by the member of the electro-group Sewage Sour Julia Led was released on the UPUPUP label. Five minimalist tracks, from which a sharp nostalgia for the female indie wave of the 2000s can develop, are most reminiscent of the early The Knife or the first Grimes releases. Julia admits that she wrote songs that she herself lacked, and in the end she turned out to be a drawn-out and sad pop.
Sparkle

In my lyrics - blizzard, north, ice, minus forty Celsius. I came up with the music with the independent producer Besish, and the Powerhouse team is responsible for recording and processing the vocals. The cover was shot by artist Arnold Weber, in whose work I was a heroine in the ultra-alcoholic times of the recent past. This album is also an attempt to preserve the memory of everything at once. At first, I wanted the cover to be a painting - so in my hands I have a painting by another representative of the Rodchenko school, Dani Berkovsky, “Reflecting the reflected light of the moon, Shine”. On the cover, I am in the same image as in the teaser shot on the iPhone during the music tour with the group Sewage Sour in Italy. Here, too, the meaning is laid - I walked, wandered around the world and returned to Chertanovo.

About the three main songs on the album:

Gravity
It seems to me that it resembles the Soviet anthem "Earth through the Window". We were accepted as cosmonauts, but we did not go, and we continue to focus on our earthly "love - you pissed off", "touch - do not touch."

Unsinkable
At first, the song should have sounded two voices, but the second one disappeared, and I had to sing the male part too, very low. I love to come up with new words. It seems to me that the process of word formation cannot be stopped. Hello Silver Age.

It will be very bad for us
I live with a mindset for the worst, which is what I wish for everyone. Spoiler alert: Everything will be very bad, it will only get worse. But nothing!
