Designer Marc Jacobs announced the emergence of a new clothing brand called The Marc Jacobs. The brand replaced Marc by Marc Jacobs, which was closed in 2015. The prices for things from this line will be much more democratic in comparison with the cost of things of the main brand, but the designer did not say how long-term the project of The Marc Jacobs will be. Director Sofia Coppola, photographer Jurgen Teller, designer Milton Glazer and others took part in the creation of some of the items with Jacobs.
The first collection includes bright shirts, printed dresses, faux fur capes, multi-colored tights and trouser suits. The lookbook for the advertising campaign was made by New York photographer Hugo Scott, and the photography was stylized by Lotta Volkova, who had previously collaborated with Demna Gvasalia and Vetements. In addition, the brand invited twins as models, posing together in things from the new collection.
