Especially for the start of the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup, adidas, together with the GirlPower FC football school, presented two kits. Four students of the school took part in the development of the design, they were assisted by Leonid Alekseev, designer and curator of the Fashion direction at the HSE. He explained the basics of making a soccer jersey and created kits from the girls' sketches.
“At adidas, we believe that creativity can change the game, life and the world around us. With GirlPower, we prove this with women's football. Sport knows no boundaries and frameworks, stereotypes and prejudices. More and more girls are playing football, and we are delighted to be able to contribute to this development - by opening sports spaces, supporting amateur clubs and implementing joint projects,”said Rachel Howard, vice president and brand director of adidas CIS.
The kits will be available in all adidas stores starting June 7th.
