Adidas by Stella McCartney has launched a new collection that has been co-developed with Parley for the Oceans, an anti-pollution community.
The line will include seventeen pieces, including both women's and men's sportswear, made using recycled ocean plastic. In addition, representatives of the brand note that they have applied the "dope dye" technology for dyeing clothes and reduced the amount of waste in production.
Stella McCartney has timed the collection specifically for the Wimbledon tennis tournament, which kicks off in the UK this week. Carolina Wozniacki, Garbinier Mugurusa, Angelica Kerber, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Dominik Tim and Alexander Zverev will take to the court in the form designed by the designer.
The collection is available at Stella McCartney, Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter online stores, and will be available on the adidas website from 26 June.
