FOR THE HEADING "WARDROBE" we photograph beautifully, distinctively or oddly dressed people wearing their favorite things and ask them to tell stories related to them. This week our heroine is a programmer and photographer Nastya Mleko.

I have no concept my own style - this part of my life I do not control. The basic principle is probably not to get bored and, if possible, play the fool. I try not to get hung up on the functional purpose of things, for example, at the institute, I carried books in a violin case. And last winter I used a white sweatshirt as a scarf.
Perhaps the way I dress was influenced by my small size - everything is always big for me. You have to cut, shred, modify - it stupidly became a habit. Getting out with shoes is more difficult, but there are options here as well. For example, all the babes know how good the Decathlon equestrian Chelsea are. And gymnastics gym shoes are an absolute hit. They are so small that my friend calls them "seeds".
I buy clothes mainly in second-hand shops or, in the worst case, online stores. I say the worst, because new cheap clothes, like eating meat from the supermarket, are a heavy burden of responsibility for me.
Jaded London robe, The Ragged Priest x Betsy Johnson T-shirt, second-hand shorts, Jack Wills slides
Jaded London specializes in apparel and swimwear for festivals such as Burning Man, a mass-market out-of-print. I'm not a fan of this style, but the robe is cool. I would run in it 24/7, but there is a delicate nuance: if you wear it with a backpack, then the robe is absurdly sucked into the ass.
This fingertip was blinded by Masha Egorova and presented to me - she had the second one. I like to pretend it is a petrified plaster of Paris or a highly archaic thimble.
A piece of glass from the star of a skyscraper on Kudrinskaya Square. The surface of the star is covered with foil, and covered with glass on top. I remember that to get to the star, you had to sneak behind the back of a certain operator with a huge control panel.
This igla is part of a mountain from the Juta Gorge in Georgia. Due to the temperature drop and the absence of large plants on the surface, the mountain body in some places is rapidly stratified. Even a stone avalanche from such needles is possible.
Collusion bodysuit, Rokoko skirt, American Apparel socks, Dr. Martens
This bodysuit is as if to correct posture: if you hunch over, it immediately falls off your shoulders. Skirt according to Freud: absolutely transparent, but with a velor ball of snakes in the genital area. Of course I bought it.
I used to have long hair, but then I cut my hair and am now looking for an application for the cut curls. For example - and now this is really weird - I use them as a hair accessory. I do not yet understand the symbolic nature of such a gesture.
Roe deer, like elk, shed their antlers every year in October - December. In theory, the forests are simply overwhelmed with their horns. But it turns out to be difficult to find such a horn. Thanks to my friend Egor for bringing him from the Norwegian forest.
Yellow - sulfuric, freshly hardened, I got it from the caldera of the active volcano Ijen on the island of Java. Red was brought by her friend Varya from the caldera of a volcano in Iceland that erupted three thousand years ago.
This piece of wood was obtained by my best friend in the place where the beaver worked, cutting the trunk for the construction of the dam. All over the surface there are traces of his teeth. We will definitely include it in our research project on the Moskva River.
The Ragged Priest Dress, Cycling Shorts
second-hand shoes, Dr. Martens
I like that the trend is back on this tattoo style. The memories of George Clooney's tattoos in the movie "From Dusk Till Dawn" and the pattern on the face of Mike Tyson, or of Britney Spears' small tailbone tribal, warm the soul.
Boohoo dress, New Look glasses, Dr. Martens
This bow will focus on problems and solutions. If you wear glasses for a long time, they begin to press behind the ears.If you have long hair, my advice is to wear glasses over the top. So they hold up perfectly, and you can even swim in them.
There are not so many ordinary work boots for a small size. Small stock often looks ridiculous. My solution is Dr. Martens Kids, which has sizes up to the European 37th. They cost half the price of adults, and there is a zipper if you don't feel like steaming with laces.
Longsleeve and skirt - Drive Store, T-shirt - White Medal merch, wristband and rosary -ts, Dr. Martens
Drive Store is a quirky streetwear shop from Hong Kong. When I stumbled upon it, there was a collection of modest, figure-hiding things in delicate colors. Among the accessories were a belt made of a man's tie, bandages made of suit fabric, bags made of strict men's gloves. I was struck by this combination of quivering minimalistic femininity and office bureaucratic masculinity. Fashion always conveys the actual image of the sexual - and it becomes uncomfortable when you imagine the context that gave rise to the sexuality described by such symbols. In short, I bought a heap of clothes there, of which I only wear these two.
A friend gave the T-shirt - not to me, but I wear it, so I like this group. This is a one-man band from England doing very dirty black metal. Absolutely animal music.
This piece of plastic is very similar to stone - that's how the waves of the Indian Ocean made it. I have several similar finds, including a plastic bottle that looks like ammonite. I love the way industrialized items make their way back.
This stone was presented by Yasha after he made me a tattoo. I don't remember where exactly he found it, I only know that the stone has a thousand iridescent faces - and Yasha has a whole mountain of such stones. Yasha is clearly more obsessed with stones than me, check it out.
This ring used to be part of a toilet paper fastener in the office of the former Look At Media. I removed the top silver layer from it and blackened it with a mixture of soda ash and sulfur. I love this story.
US Navy jacket, RVCA T-shirt, OBey pants, mask
from oak bark with moss, stick is at, Dr. Martens
I am a passionate lover of nature, and especially of the forest. The wild forest is one of the most untreated and untreated places for human consumption. If there were some kind of forest religion, I would immediately become its follower - but such a set would be a uniform that allows me to merge with the veil. In the city, however, it turns out only foolishly to merge with the students of military schools.
The stick was presented by the masseur Yuri - he is also a lover of the forest. Yura is a believer, but his faith is very distinctive: he, for example, tried to open in my head a connection with the cosmos. He said that there is progress, but in general I am not very good with it. I gave such a stick - I found it in the forest, took off the bark, carved a cross. Thanks to the curved shape, it is very stable and the round tip fits perfectly in the hand.
Top, pants and shoes - second-hand
I bought all these things at the second-hand Beacon's Closet in New York on 5th Avenue during the gay pride parade. In programming, this is called a pattern. This set is the most uncomfortable clothing I have: in a synthetic mesh it is both hot and very cold, and in vinyl pants (yes, this is vinyl, not snake skin), legs sweat along the entire length, and pull them off, say, when using a public toilet, it is completely impossible. So I love and hate.
Dress, swimsuit and bicycles -
from "Megastil", Dr. Martens
The road to "Megastil" passes through the Central Asian quarter, which runs along the railroad tracks. There is all the infrastructure there: hairdressers, cafes with national cuisine, stalls with fake sneakers and even a craft bar. There are worthwhile things in Megastil, but it can be difficult to see them. This synthetic chain mail is one of them.
Slime itself is a very curious substance. From the point of view of human perception, this is an inconvenient phenomenon, a marginalization of life, its waste. There is even an image of a slimy existence, imbued with the horror of a spilled, non-individual life. I am quoting from the introduction to Ben Woodard's book The Dynamics of Slime. I really want to read it.
The cast was presented by a friend of Zhenyok, he is a dentist. I really like that the first two teeth can be removed and reinserted - apparently, just like the owner of the jaw.
I found this knife on a forest lake in the Catskill Mountains of New York State. He remained stuck in a tree after being thrown. I often find knives in the forest, and I myself have lost one.
American Apparel crop top, Dickies pants, Reebok sneakers
The Dickies trousers are unique. I've been wearing them all the time for over ten years. They hardly fade, tear or go out of style. They simply wander from one youth culture to another and seem to have survived the death of subcultures in general.
This amulet was given to me by Woody from 4th dimension. According to him, he should bring good luck in traveling to extraterrestrial civilizations - in short, there is no sense from him. Woody cast it himself.
Or, in other words, the nose of a sawfish. I found him in an abandoned house, along with a World of Warcraft synopsis and a ring of omnipotence. As it turned out, with this rostrum, the fish does exactly what comes to mind first: it swings it from side to side, tearing other fish to pieces.
I don’t remember where this ball came from, it is here on the sidelines. The first is the vertebra of a moose, which was found in the forest on his birthday. It now serves as the base for the ball.
Monki robe, The Ragged Priest x Betsy Johnson T-shirt, mask from "Ashan", Dr. Martens
I bought a dressing gown in Swedish Monki seven years ago. It is reversible and in recent years I have worn it with the white side up. The Ragged Priest sleeveless t-shirt was released in collaboration with Betsey Johnson. If you look at Betsy's collections, it gets tough. And Betsy herself looks pretty stern, like the heroine of Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun" video. But something else is interesting here: at the end of each of her shows, Betsy, born in 42, with a completely wild smile, either makes a wheel or sits on a twine!
The mask is catchy with its dumbness, especially with this primitive, repulsive wide oval of the face. Successfully grabbed for thirty-five rubles.
Paper bag The North Face
The bag was conceived by the brand as “technical,” whatever that meant, and was sold exclusively in Japan. I wear it like a clutch, folding it under my arm, or drag it by the micro-handles. It is covered with a miracle impregnation, so it did not break in three years.
I found this stick while passing the Crimean mountain Roman-Kosh. There I got into the worst snowstorm in my life - nothing could be seen beyond one meter. It was very strange and scary. She really helped me out that day, so I took her to Moscow - she even had an airline sticker on it. Now I often take sticks with me from hiking.
