Studio Amazon will reboot the horror film "I Know What You Did Last Summer": a television series will be made from the cult teen horror movie of 1997.

The director is James Wang, who has worked on films such as Saw, Astral: Chapter 2, The Conjuring, The Conjuring 2 and Aquaman. The original production producer Neil Moritz, founder of Original Film, will also take part in the creation of the series. The script will be written by Shay Hatten, known for his films about John Wick. The cast has not yet been disclosed.

The plot of the original version was built around a group of teenagers who accidentally knocked down an unknown man. Deciding that he was dead, the guys threw the corpse into the sea and agreed never to remember what happened. However, a year later, they begin to receive mysterious notes with the text "I know what you did last summer," and then the pursuer appears - a man in a fishing cloak and with a hook in his hand. The script of the picture is based on the novel of the same name by the American writer Lois Duncan. The film's sequel was filmed twice: “I Still Know What You Did Last Summer” (1998) and “I Always Knew What You Did Last Summer” (2006).
