The American company Converse is trying its hand at the concept of responsible consumption: the new eco-friendly line Renew features sneakers made using used items and production waste.
Since August, the Canvas model has been on sale, created using a special eco-friendly technology. The new fiber looks and feels the same as the brand's usual canvas, but it is made from recycled polyester sourced from plastic bottles. The selected colors - gray-brown, blue, wheat, beige, black and gray-green - represent the symbiosis of the forces of nature and technology.
The Chuck 70 and Chuck Taylor All Star models, made with thermoplastic, were released in July, and sneakers made from recycled cotton are expected on sale in the spring of 2020.
