IKEA presented a collection of textiles made by craftsmen from the village of Maly Turysh in the Sverdlovsk region. Back in 2018, the company began cooperation with social entrepreneur Guzel Sanzhapova, who founded her production in Maly Turysh to provide jobs for its residents. Today it produces honey and caramel products, herbal teas, natural cosmetics, and now also household goods. The result of this collaboration is the ÅTERSTÄLLA collection - these are pillow covers and card holders, sewn on the principle of waste-free production. The craftsmen used sketches and materials from IKEA.

This is the first social enterprise in Russia with which the company cooperates. Let us remind you that last week a collection made by hand by employees of social industries in different countries appeared in the store. The goal of the project is to create permanent jobs in remote areas.
So, developing his production, Guzel managed to contribute to the development of the village of Maly Turysh. “There is a playground, a drinking water well, a gazebo, garbage collection is organized, and now a community center is being built that will not only solve some of the problems in the village, but also create new jobs,” IKEA says.
The ÅTERSTÄLLA collection is already available in the IKEA Belaya Dacha store.
