Here's what you need to get started:

  • crepe paper;
  • knitting needles;
  • hot gun;
  • scissors;
  • PVA glue;
  • a suitable shape for a vase;
  • kernel;
  • wooden stick;
  • White paper;
  • rolling pin.

Instructions for creating an amphora:

  1. You can take a similar shape if you have such a vase or wine bottle or jug. Such work resembles a cross between quilling and twisting from newspapers. If you have already done this kind of needlework, then it will be quite easy for you to make an amphora.
  2. Cut strips of 7 mm wide from white paper, screw each onto a rod, placing the turns firmly. Remember to glue the ends to prevent the strip from unrolling. Make a few of these elements while setting them aside.
  3. Cut out strips 2 cm wide from crepe paper, wind each one on a thin knitting needle, creak the turns inside with glue. Roll with a rolling pin. Now you need to twist the turns in a circle, gluing them to each other. When the strips run out, glue the next ones. You now have a second kind of decorative elements.
  4. The third is more delicate. To make such blanks, you need to form rings, glue the curls inside. You can glue circles made using the white paper quilling technique in the center of some elements.
  5. Now you need to lay out the parts on the matched base, starting from the bottom. The elements are fastened together with glue and small strips of crepe paper. The pens are made up of several circles, to achieve this shape, you need to place them on an oval or round object until the glue dries.

Using the torsion papier technique, craftsmen create openwork chandeliers. As you can see, the quilling technique also helps here.

Cut strips of beige and light brown kraft paper, wind them on a knitting needle. Shape the blanks with a little glue.

Start to weave from the bottom. To do this, set sticks made of light brown paper at the same distance along the form, fix them with a clerical elastic band. Braid the bottom with darker crepe paper, then twist two times out of the lighter one. To achieve this effect of knitted loops, you need to fold a long strip in half, put a loop under the first vertical stick of paper, thread the two ends of this working paper strip into the resulting hole. This and the next row is also braided. The fourth one you will create from darker brown paper.

Taking four blanks, which are called drops in quilling, you will make a butterfly out of them. Such an element will be very appropriate in the papier torsion technique. See how the bottom of such a vase is made. To do this, you need to start weaving by crossing two parts, each of which consists of three strips glued together. Then cross two more diagonally. Use a jar for the base, braiding its bottom.

Then complete the sidewalls, glue the resulting butterflies to the vertical tubes. It remains to decorate upwards, after which the work is completed.
