Tomatoes are firmly established on our tables. They can even be considered a must-have vegetable in modern cooking. They are found in a regular sandwich, in simple salads, and in the most intricate and complex dishes. They are used to prepare fish and meat dishes, pizza, lasagna, soups, pasta, sauces and gravies are made from them. Today I propose to bake tomatoes in a conventional oven. Such sun-dried tomatoes will add variety to your daily diet.
For the recipe, you can take tomatoes of any color and variety. The main thing is that they are of high quality, without damage and dents. Bake them just before serving to keep them from losing their shape. They will be especially tasty if they are ripe and have just been plucked from the garden. And for aroma and additional taste, bake tomatoes in the oven with any sauce: with garlic, soy sauce, wine, mustard, lemon juice, spices, herbs … You can serve baked tomatoes with buckwheat porridge, fried fish, chops, scrambled eggs, cutlets … This is a great appetizer on its own or one of the components of a hot salad.

Ingredients:
- Tomatoes - 10-12 pcs.
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Mustard - 0.5 tsp Salt - a pinch
- Hot pepper - 0.5 pods
- Ground black pepper - a pinch
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
Step by step cooking baked tomatoes in the oven, recipe with photo:
1. Select tomatoes that are dense and firm, without bits and rot. Ideal for a Cream variety recipe. Wash and dry the selected tomatoes with a paper towel.
2. In a bowl, combine olive oil, soy sauce, mustard, salt, black pepper and finely ground hot pepper. Mix well.
3. Place the tomatoes in a baking dish. In each, make several shallow punctures with a toothpick so that steam escapes through these places during baking. Otherwise, the tomatoes may crack under the influence of high temperature.
4. Pour the prepared sauce over the tomatoes.
5. Send the tomatoes to a preheated oven to 180 degrees for 20-30 minutes. The roasting time depends on the power of the oven and the degree of doneness desired. If you want the tomatoes to be dense, then 15-20 minutes will be enough. For a softer vegetable, keep them for half an hour. Serve the cooked baked tomatoes in the oven after cooking with any side dish.
