Knitting allows you to spend time interestingly, calm your nerves, create a beautiful new thing. For those who do not yet have experience in this type of needlework, it is better to start by creating simple things, for example, knitting a beautiful scarf. Once you have mastered a simple model, move on to more complex ones.
How to knit a man's scarf or a woman's?
This type of needlework begins with creating a sample, it will help to make a thing of the right size. To do this, you will need:
- 2 needles on a line or two large separate needles;
- yarn;
- tape measure.
Fold 2 knitting needles together, cast on 22 loops, 2 of which are hem. Work 10 rows in your chosen pattern. Now measure the width of the canvas and divide 20 loops (2 edge loops do not count) by this figure obtained. Remember the result, multiply it by as many cm as the width of your knitted scarf - male or female. For example, in 1 cm you have 2 loops, the desired width of the product is 20 cm. Then you need to cast on 40 loops.
Collect them on 2 knitting needles folded in half, then take one out and knit the first row. One of the simplest types of knitting is shawl. For her, both the face and the wrong side are knitted with facial loops. How garter knitting is created with knitting needles can be seen in the diagram.
Pass a knitting needle through the front of the loop, pull the thread through this hole, leave it on the right knitting needle, removing it from the left. This is how you need to knit front loops. Continue creating garter stitch fabric when finished, then close the loops. To do this, move them from one spoke, across the line to the other. Pull the second through the first loop, then through this one, which has become the extreme, pull the third. In this way, close all the loops. The last one needs to thread and pull. Cut the thread, leaving a ponytail.
This is how you can knit a scarf for a woman and for a man. The choice of drawings for such works is rich, the main thing is to use double-sided so that the canvas looks beautiful both on the face and on the wrong side. For this, the following types of knitting, elastic are suitable:

Knitting patterns

For her, you need to dial a certain number of loops so that it is a multiple of 4, edging does not go into the calculation. Therefore, if you want to knit a men's scarf with such a pattern, then you can dial 40 loops, as in the above calculations, plus 2 hem.
Knit the first loop with a purl, then with 3 knit stitches, after that there is 1 purl and again 3 knit stitches. The next row starts with two purl, then 1 front, 3 purl, one front, and so on are created. Now knit according to the pattern. All even rows, as well as odd ones, are identical.

Men's sweater: diagram and description
This section presents outerwear from size 46 to 56. Redraw the sweater pattern onto newspaper, large paper, or tracing paper:

- the third is for 54/56 (B).
Depending on the size of the wearer of the sweater, you will need 800-900 grams of yarn, half sheep wool and half polyacrylic. In 100 grams of such yarn, there are 97 meters of thread. In addition to this basic material, prepare:
- circular needles No. 7;
- straight needles number 8 and 7;
- zipper 22 cm.
Tie the sample with basic stitch, calculate how many loops you need to cast. How to do this is described at the beginning of the article. In this example, a 10x10cm fabric includes 16 rows and 12 loops.
How to knit step by step - sweater back
If your knitting is the same, then dial on the needles number 7, depending on the size, 66 (70) or 76 loops. Knit a 7 cm elastic with a pattern. To do this, alternate knit 2 and purl 2. Turning the knitted fabric over, do the front loops over the front loops, and the purl loops over the wrong ones. After you have knitted 7 cm, for smaller and larger sizes, 1 loop is added, and for 50/52 - three loops evenly - one at the sides and 1 in the center of the back.
Next, knit 9 rows with front stitch, add 4 loops for the first and second dimensional mesh for 4-5 rows and 5 loops for the third. At this stage, you will get for the size:
- 46/48 (A) - 71 p.;
- 50/52 (B) - 77 p.;
- 54/56 (B) - 81 loops.
If you have a different thread thickness or not the same knitting density for which the calculations are given, then focus on the pattern. Apply the back to the paper base periodically, and you will see where you need to add. The same goes for the armhole. In this example, the knitting of the armholes of the sleeves for sizes "A" starts from the elastic after 56 rows (34 cm), for "B" - after 54 rows (33 cm), for "C" - after 52 rows (32 cm). You need to close for:
- "A" - 7 p.;
- "B" - 7 p.;
- "B" - 8 loops.
After 100 rows from the elastic, you will knit 62 cm of fabric, then you need to close several central loops and knit the neck: for sizes "A" and "B", close 15 loops each in the middle of the back, for "C" - 17. To make it rounded, in the next row, knit 2 loops that have become extreme in the center, together. After that, tie one side of the back first, and then the other.
But at the same time as closing the loops on the neckline, you need to draw up the shoulder bevels. To do this, apply the fabric to the pattern, and you will see how many loops in which row you need to knit together. In this model, you must first close 6 (7) 7 sts, and then in every second row - gradually decrease them in order to close all loops after 104 rows after the elastic (65 cm).
How to knit the front (front) of a sweater?
It is created according to the same principle as the back, according to the same pattern, only the neckline is made deeper. This can be seen on the pattern. To do it, after 76 rows after the elastic (47 cm), find the middle loop, close it with the adjacent one. After another 14 rows, close 4-5 loops in the center of the shelf to round off the neckline. Then, in every second row, gradually decrease, focusing on the pattern, so that the neckline becomes round. Subtract shoulder loops to bevel seams. Each half of the sweater front must be knitted separately.
Knitting sleeves and assembling the product
Type on knitting needles for:
- "A" - 30 p.;
- "B" - 30 p.;
- "B" - 34 loops.
Tie with an elastic band 7 cm. In the last row, add evenly for:
- "A" - 6 p.;
- "B" - 6 p.;
- "B" - 4 loops.
Knit the fabric with the front satin stitch. Next, apply the sleeves to the pattern, add loops symmetrically on each side so that the sleeve expands upward. After 49 cm from the elastic, close all the loops.
Here's how to knit the neckline. First, sew the shoulder seams on the wrong side, then dial on the collar for:
- "A" - 68 p.;
- "B" - 68 p.;
- "B" - 76 loops.
Knit with an elastic band 11 cm, close the loops, sew the collar to the neck.
You can dial the specified number of loops directly on the neck, passing the knitting needle through the front half of the loop on the neck of the shelf and back, and then knit 11 cm with an elastic band. Then you do not need to sew on the collar. Sew a zipper to the center of the collar, sew in the sleeves with side seams on them, as well as on the front and back.
Iron the garment on the wrong side, without ironing the elastic, and the knitted sweater, made by hand, is ready. You can knit a scarf from the same threads as his, then you get a warm men's set that will warm a dear person on cold days.
