In honor of this, we will prepare a classic New Year's recipe that will help you tune in to the wave of happy changes. The first in the collection of “New Year's dishes” and the highlight of the New Year's program, of course, is the Olivier salad for the New Year 2019. It will raise the festive spirit to all guests and give a real sense of the holiday!

Despite the fact that we are already accustomed to this salad on our tables, it seems that it is almost impossible to diversify it or do something in a new way. However, you can add new flavors to traditional food. To do this, just add boiled carrots, green peas and green onions, and all the other ingredients for it remain unchanged: potatoes, eggs, sausage, pickled cucumber and mayonnaise for dressing.

  • Potatoes - 3 pcs.
  • Doctor's sausage - 300 g
  • Mayonnaise - for dressing
  • Salt - a pinch (if necessary)
  • Canned cucumbers - 2 pcs.
  • Carrots - 2 pcs.
  • Canned green peas - 300 g
  • Eggs - 4 pcs.
  • Green onions - bunch

1. Peel the doctor's sausage from the packaging film and cut into cubes with sides of 0.5-0.7 mm. Instead, you can use milk or baby sausage, boiled chicken, tongue, and other meat ingredients.

2. Boil the potatoes in their skins in salted water until tender. Then peel and cut into cubes.

3. Boil the carrots until soft, peel and cut into cubes.

4. Boil eggs hard-boiled for 8 minutes after boiling, cool in ice water, peel and cut into cubes.

5. Blot pickled cucumbers with a paper towel to dry from the brine and cut into cubes the same size as the previous products.

6. Combine all chopped ingredients in a large bowl and add canned green peas. Pre-tilt it into a sieve so that the excess liquid glass.

7. Add chopped green onions to food, which can be used fresh or frozen. The latter need not be defrosted, because it will thaw right in the salad. Season food with salt and mayonnaise. Stir the Olivier salad, chill in the refrigerator and serve on the New Year 2019 festive table.
