A hot appetizer of chicken legs is one of the most delicious parts of chicken, but also the most nutritious. This is a hearty dish but inexpensive. The drumsticks are prepared in a variety of ways, having previously marinated in a marinade. There are a lot of marinades for poultry. Kefir, yogurt, mayonnaise, ketchup, beer, sour cream, honey, mustard, wine, soy sauce are mainly used as marinades. It is not uncommon for lemon, garlic, onion, and herbs to be added to the marinade. Of course, no matter which marinade you choose, you always need spices. Chicken meat goes well with many spices. Therefore, you can enhance the taste and aroma of the dish with such spices as ginger, paprika, red and black ground pepper, nutmeg, coriander.
Today we will cook chicken legs in tomato-soy marinade. This sauce is slightly sour with a pungent aroma thanks to tomato paste. It impregnates the meat well, making the bird very soft, tender and at the same time juicy. The meat is perfectly saturated with the taste of the sauce, acquires an incredibly appetizing color and just melts in your mouth! To enjoy this dish as much as possible, it is better to marinate chicken drumsticks in sauce in the evening, so the meat will be well saturated. In addition, chicken legs, chosen as the main component in the presented recipe, can be replaced with thighs, wings, breasts or whole carcass.

Ingredients:
- Chicken legs - 2 pcs.
- Salt - 0.5 tsp
- Tomato sauce - 100 g
- Ground black pepper - a pinch
- Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Italian spices - 1 tsp
Step-by-step cooking of chicken legs in tomato-soy marinade, recipe with photo:
1. Combine marinade products in a deep bowl: soy sauce, tomato sauce, black pepper and Italian herbs.
2. Stir the marinade to distribute the spices evenly.
3. Wash the chicken legs well and dry with a paper towel. If not plucked feathers are present, then remove them. Submerge them in the marinade, stir until the pieces are completely covered and leave to marinate for 1 hour. If you can stand it overnight, put them in the refrigerator.
4. Place the chicken legs in a mold, season with a little salt and place in a preheated oven to 180 degrees for 30-40 minutes. Cook them until they are lightly golden brown. Check readiness with a knife. Cut a piece of meat; white transparent juice should ooze from it. If it is bloody, then continue to bake further. Serve cooked chicken legs in tomato-soy marinade hot after cooking with any side dish and vegetable salad.
