Lemon mustard marinade will make any fish dish unforgettable! Salmon steak, pollock fillet, crucian carp in foil, grilled mackerel, oven baked carp … the seasoning will suit any type of fish and any type of heat treatment. Preparing the seasoning is not at all difficult and fast enough! And constantly changing the composition of the marinade, the same fish will have new flavors. Therefore, experimentation is encouraged.
The pungency of the sauce depends on the type of mustard, it can be hot, spicy, sweet or sour. Lemon will give the sauce a spicy sourness that fish meat loves. Other herbs and spices are added to the main ingredients to improve the taste. Although mustard itself can replace all seasonings. This recipe uses soy sauce and fish seasoning. But cloves, nutmeg, basil, and even a little cinnamon are also fine. Turmeric can be added to give the marinade a bright yellow color. Also, the seasoning can be made from the seeds of white mustard, famous as Dijon or French.

Step-by-step preparation of lemon-mustard marinade for fish, recipe with photo:
1. Pour the soy sauce into a deep, small container. You can take it classic or with any tastes. For example, ginger or fish is suitable.
Note: use glass, ceramic or enamel dishes for marinating, as the dangers of aluminum and plastic have been heard many times.
2. Put the mustard in the soy sauce.
Note: Keep in mind that pickles containing soy sauce should be salted with care. Perhaps soy sauce will completely replace the addition of salt. And if the salt from the soy sauce is not enough, salt the fish at the end of cooking or just before eating. Otherwise, the salt can draw out all the moisture and make the fish hard and dry.
3. Wash the lemon, dry it with a paper towel and cut off the required part. Squeeze the juice from the lemon into a container with food. If you come across lemon pits, take them out.
4. Add the fish seasoning to the ingredients.
5. Stir the food with a fork or small whisk until smooth. Lemon mustard marinade for fish is ready. Cover any carcass with it and cook it in any way.
