A casserole is always an interesting combination of flavors, aromas and colors, which not only perfectly copes with the feeling of hunger, but also pleases the eye. Minced meat and cauliflower casserole will be a wonderful lunch or dinner, distinguished by its originality and originality.

Ingredients:

  • Cauliflower - 400 g
  • Bulb onions - 1 pc. (small)
  • Minced meat - 800 g (any meat)
  • Carrots - 1 pc.
  • Bulgarian pepper - 1 pc. (average)
  • Milk - 250 ml
  • White bread - 2-3 slices (small)
  • Salt, spices and seasonings of your choice

To make minced meat and cauliflower casserole:

  1. Soak the crumb of bread in milk, let it soak well, then squeeze and mix with the minced meat in a deep cup.
  2. Cut onions, carrots and peppers, which we have previously peeled, into small cubes and fry with a little sunflower oil for a few minutes.
  3. Add the fried vegetables to the minced meat, mix thoroughly and sprinkle with salt and your favorite seasonings and spices, which, to your taste, go well with meat and vegetables. We opted for thyme, dried basil, coriander and paprika, not forgetting the black pepper and salt.
  4. We start preparing the cauliflower. Divide it into small bushes (inflorescences) and lower it into a saucepan with salted boiling water for three minutes, then put it in a bowl of cold water and throw it into a colander to remove excess water.
  5. Let's start collecting casseroles. Put part (half) of the minced meat in a greased mold with a thick layer, level it. Then we place the cabbage inflorescences at approximately the same distance to each other, gently pressing them into the minced meat.
  6. Put the rest of the minced meat on top, level and grease with butter.
  7. We send the casserole to the oven, which was preheated to 170 degrees, and bake for 45 minutes. Here's a tip: if the top of our minced meat and cauliflower casserole begins to brown a lot, cover it with foil or baking paper soaked in water.
  8. We serve the finished dish on the table, adding sour cream or your favorite sauce if desired.

Such a hearty casserole looks quite unusual on the dining table, while delighting with a wonderful taste and easy preparation. Enjoy!
