Step-by-step preparation of puff pastry meat pie with minced meat and cottage cheese
1. First, prepare the pie filling. To do this, combine minced meat and cottage cheese. Since I chose minced pork and beef for the dish, which itself is quite high in calories, I took the cottage cheese with the smallest fat content. You can take both minced meat and cottage cheese to your taste.
2. Add chopped greens to the filling. I have dill, but parsley or a combination of several herbs will make the pie very tasty and flavorful. Salt, pepper and mix the filling. Add other fragrant herbs as desired. We cut the onion as small as possible or grind it with a blender and also send it to the filling.
3. If you bought the dough from the store, be sure to remove it from the refrigerator first. Divide the dough into 2 unequal parts; keep in mind that there should be more dough for the bottom of the cake. Roll out the sheet slightly. Grease the baking dish with vegetable oil and spread with a large piece of dough.
4. We fill the form with filling. Trample down a little and level the surface with a spoon or spatula.
5. Roll out the smaller part of the dough, cover the filling with this sheet and pinch the edges. With a toothpick we make several punctures in the "lid" of the pie.
6. Separate the egg yolk from the protein, add salt and brush the surface of the cake with a brush.
8. Preheat the oven to a temperature of 180 degrees. We bake the meat pie for 25–40 minutes (depending on the size of the mold and the operation of the oven). Make sure that the crust is browned, but not dry. My cake was cooked in 30 minutes.
9. Serve the finished puff pastry meat pie with minced meat and cottage cheese, letting it cool slightly. Sour cream or garlic sauce can perfectly emphasize the taste and aroma of the dish. Deliciousness - lick your fingers! Bon appetit, everyone!
