  • The strawberries must be firm and ripe, otherwise they will drip and crack the chocolate.
  • Dry the berries well before glazing them.
  • It is advisable to use only good quality chocolate: no grains, bubbles or taste. The cocoa content must be at least 60%.
  • To improve the quality of the dessert, the berries can be kept in cognac, brandy or rum for 5 minutes, then dried well and covered with glaze.
  • For this dessert, winter berries are especially suitable, which are not particularly sweet.
  • Until the chocolate icing applied to the candies has cooled down, an additional treat can be coated with coconut or crushed nuts.
  • The chocolate can be melted in a water bath or in the microwave. To make it faster to achieve a uniform consistency, it is pre-broken into pieces of the same size.

1. Peel the berries from the tails, wash under running water and dry well.

2. Select a saucepan or ovenproof bowl to place the broken pieces of chocolate in.

4. Heat the chocolate and stir it with a wooden or silicone spatula. The readiness for cooking can be checked as follows. Put some glaze on the inside of the wrist, the drop should not cool or burn. Only then can the product be used for its intended purpose. When doing this, make sure that no water or steam gets into the bowl of chocolate. Also remember that you cannot overheat it and you cannot heat it porous.

String each strawberry on a toothpick and dip in the melted chocolate mass. Roll it in all directions so that it is evenly glazed.
