- We connect them with wooden slats along the edges.

- The upper tier can be sewn up with boards in the same way. However, it is recommended to make a removable shield from prepared wood.
- We nail horizontally two or three slats with a distance of 2-3 cm to the wall above the upper tier.
Please note that the heads of galvanized self-tapping screws must be deepened into the wood by at least 3 mm to prevent burns.
Manufacturing technology of a bench for a steam room in a bath
The bench in the steam room can be used to place a bucket, tub, or just for relaxation. To equip it ourselves, we adhere to the following algorithm of actions:
- We prepare from a bar with a section of 5 cm2 four legs 0, 6-0, 7 meters long and two braces.
- We grind two boards 0.4 meters wide and connect them together along the edges with slats.
- We fix the legs with crossbars at the top and bottom.
- We nail the resulting structures to the seat.
- We fasten the struts with one side to the bottom of the seat, the other to the crossbars of the legs.
Before use, the shelves and benches in the bath must be treated with a special oil composition, which will prevent the wood from drying out.
The specifics of installing furniture for a bath in a steam room
When placing furniture in the steam room, you must take into account some safety rules. It is better to mount the shelf on the opposite wall from the stove, but not immediately opposite it in order to avoid burns. The distance between the benches and the stove should allow you to steam freely without touching the hot surface. Also note that it is not advisable to sew up the space under benches and shelves. - We knock the prepared sanded boards along the edges and in the middle with slats 2-3 cm thick. Leave a hole up to three centimeters between them.
- We mount the three resulting bases on the slats.
- We attach the legs to the boards with special struts from a bar with a section of 5 cm2.
- Do not forget to bury the fasteners inside. The resulting product is re-impregnated with an antiseptic.
Installation of a wooden font in a washing bath
If the dimensions of the washing room or the budget do not allow you to build a pool, then you can independently make a bath tub made of wood. In addition to installing the base, you must additionally take care of the equipment of the water supply and drainage system.
The body itself is made in the following sequence:
- We form a shield from the boards. To do this, we glue the pre-milled elements with wood glue and squeeze them with clamps.
- We mark on the surface of the shield a figure of the required size and shape for the future font, then carefully cut out the detail.
- We carefully sand the wood until it is completely smooth. To do this, first use a sander, then sandpaper.
- We attach to the shield from the bottom side with self-tapping beams with a section of 2 * 3 cm. When choosing the length of the fasteners, count so that they do not pass through the shield. We attach support bars to the bottom.
- We prepare boards for the walls. To do this, we saw them into identical parts, we mill them along the edges, forming a semicircular spike on one side, and a corresponding groove on the other.
- We measure 10 cm from the bottom of the boards, add the thickness of the bottom to it and make a second mark. We mill a square groove between them, deepening it by a third of the board. We re-grind every detail.
- We install the first board, inserting the bottom into the groove, tap it with a rubber mallet. We carry out the installation of the remaining elements at the same level as tightly as possible. Insert the last part from above and push it down.
- We tighten a metal tape around the structure with holes on the folds along the edges and fix a special tightening bolt in the holes and bait the nut. We install three such hoops on the body.
- Inside the font, on supports, we mount two bars with a cross section of 5 cm perpendicularly at a distance of 0.5 meters2 and 40-60 cm long. We connect them together with polished boards, leaving a space of 1-2 cm. This will be a kind of seat.
- Outside, we install a wooden staircase made of two sanded boards.
- We treat the entire structure with antiseptic impregnation.
For the durability of the font, the water should be kept in it no longer than three hours. Otherwise, the wood will be exposed to the appearance of mold and mildew. Chemical impregnations can be used, but they negatively affect the useful properties of the tree.
Specificity of manufacturing a shelf for a washing in a bath
For convenience, a shelf in the wash compartment is located near the shower room. It can be used to store the necessary accessories.
You can build a shelf with your own hands in this order:
- We carefully grind two boards 2-3 cm thick, 30 cm wide, 0.5 meters long.
- We treat wood with an antiseptic composition.
- We attach them on one side to each other so that they are in a perpendicular relationship.
- From the edge of one board we fix a galvanized loop for fastening.
- We fasten the shelf with a nail.
It is necessary to position the structure at a safe height in a convenient place.
