Lyothyronine, or T3, has found application in bodybuilding as a fat burner. Learn about the properties of the drug and how to use it. Liothyronine is a medication based on a hormone produced by the thyroid gland. Quite often, athletes use liothyronine to burn fat. Thanks to the additional intake of T3, its content in the blood increases, which significantly accelerates the processes of fat burning, and can also lead to an acceleration of the synthesis of growth hormone and increase the anabolic level.
Directly about the dosage of the drug, the conversation will go a little lower, but now I want to give a couple of recommendations on the individual choice of dosage. In this case, special attention should be paid to the instability of the drug, which leads to a decrease in its effectiveness after a certain time. It should also be noted that T3 in liquid form loses its properties even faster than the tablet form.
All the doses that will be discussed today refer to drugs created in the United States and Europe. Liothyronine, produced in other regions of the world, contains significantly less active substance. For this reason, it is necessary to take only the original T3, or it will be incredibly difficult to achieve the desired effect.
Lyothyronine dosages
When using T3, there are two reception schemes with different goals.
First scheme
The use of liothyronine for fat burning involves achieving a permanent process of fat burning or maintaining body composition. In this case, a low dosage is used, amounting to about 12.5 micrograms of the drug throughout the day.
This approach allows you not to have a depressing effect on the thyroid gland, even if you use the drug for a long period of time. With an increase in dosage, the function of the thyroid gland will be inhibited, but this will increase the effectiveness of the use of T3.
It is worth noting that the inhibitory effect of the drug on the thyroid gland quickly disappears after stopping it. Second circuit allows you to significantly enhance the processes of fat burning in the body, while deciding to consciously inhibit the activity of the thyroid gland. In this case, the dosage of T3 is about 50 micrograms per day. Sometimes it is possible to receive up to 75 micrograms of the agent. Such a course should be limited in duration, for example, 8-12 weeks will be quite enough to achieve the desired results. However, the exact time of the course is difficult to say, and when determining it, one should proceed from the characteristics of the organism.
The drug has a short duration of action on the body and for this reason it is advisable to use it in several doses during the day. However, an exception can be made for small dosages. So, for example, when using the first dosing regimen, 12.5 micrograms can be safely consumed in the morning. However, 50 micrograms is best divided into three doses.
It should also be noted that the drug is able to reduce the synthesis of insulin-like growth factor, which in turn leads to a decrease in the anabolic background. However, the effectiveness of fat burning does not decrease. This fact has led some scientists to suggest that the combined use of T3 and growth hormone reduces the risk of side effects associated with the use of GH. However, in the course of further research on the drug, it was found that liothyronine for burning fat simply does not allow the level of growth hormone to rise to dangerous levels. When taken from 50 micrograms of T3 together with growth hormone, the effectiveness of the latter decreases.
Side effects of Liothyronine
When using the above dosages, side effects are excluded. A daily dose of more than 75 micrograms, and in some cases even 100 micrograms, is considered dangerous. If the dose is exceeded, then tachycardia, muscle weakness, a decrease in the anabolic background and acceleration of catabolic processes are possible.
As mentioned above, when using certain dosages, the thyroid gland has a depressing effect. During this period, the rate of synthesis of the natural hormone decreases. This is largely influenced by the duration of the course of liothyronine for burning fat. If the drug is taken for a short period of time, then the thyroid gland practically does not reduce the production of the hormone. But in any case, these changes are not able to affect the endocrine system and, by and large, do not pose a danger, although it is necessary to warn about the possibility of a decrease in the activity of the thyroid gland.
The bottom line about Liothyronin
Of course, liothyronine is very effective as a fat burning agent, but you should be very careful with its dosages. If they are significantly exceeded, side effects may appear. If you follow all the recommendations, then the drug is completely safe and at the same time very effective. It can be argued that T3 is one of the most powerful fat burners.
A very important fact is its rapid excretion from the body. And, of course, it is worth reminding once again that only the original T3 should be purchased. Otherwise, the money will be wasted due to the low quality of the large quantity of the drug. Only American and European companies produce high quality T3.
It is undesirable to purchase the drug in liquid form, as it loses its properties very quickly. The best option would be to use tableted liothyronine for burning fat, released in the United States or Europe. Avoid products made in third world countries. They are of poor quality and will not bring you the expected effect, only giving you disappointment.
And once again about dosages. Since T3 is a very powerful fat burner, its use should be approached with all responsibility. At the same time, subject to all the requirements for its intake, the drug is not able to have a negative effect on the body.
