There are beautiful salads, there are festive ones, and there are simply amazing ones. The "New Year's Masquerade Mask" salad is a work of culinary art that every culinary specialist can create. This is the perfect dish for New Year's Eve. It will undoubtedly become the highlight of the festive menu. And cooking it is not at all difficult. The main thing here is good mood and lack of haste. Create such a culinary masterpiece with pleasure, and then you will succeed.
As with many other unusual themed salads, this dish also lacks an exact recipe. Products can be combined at your discretion, and they are laid out in layers. The most important thing here is to decorate the salad as a carnival mask at the end. In this recipe, I used chicken breast, so the salad turned out to be very satisfying, while at the same time light. Boiled vegetables add juiciness and freshness to the salad. Eggs make it more tender, and mayonnaise more piquant. Such a dish, both in terms of the composition of ingredients and in appearance, will ideally fit into the celebration of the New Year.

Ingredients:
- Beets - 1 pc.
- Eggs - 2 pcs.
- Mayonnaise - for dressing
- Greens (any) - for decoration
- Pickled cucumbers - 2 pcs.
- Potatoes - 1 pc.
- Green peas - 50 g
- Boiled chicken fillet - 1 pc.
- Carrots - 1 pc.
Step-by-step preparation of the "New Year's masquerade mask" salad, recipe with photo:
1. Pre-boil potatoes, beets and carrots. Also boil the chicken fillet and hard boiled eggs. Cool all products to room temperature and then start cooking. So, peel the potatoes and grate them on a coarse grater.
2. Choose a wide dish that is comfortable, on which place two small glasses at a distance of about 2 cm from each other. Spread the potato layer around the glasses, giving it the shape of a masquerade mask. Apply mayonnaise to it.
3. Brush the potatoes with mayonnaise. Lubricate each laid layer with mayonnaise in the same way.
4. Cut the boiled chicken into pieces or tear along the fibers.
5. Place it on top of the boiled potatoes.
6. Cut the pickled cucumbers into small cubes.
7. Install them with the next layer.
8. Then grate the eggs and arrange them in the same way as the previous foods.
9. Peel and grate beets.
10. Decorate the salad with grated beets on all sides.
11. Peel and grate the carrots.
12. Decorate the bottom or top of the "masquerade mask" with carrots of your choice.
13. Decorate the Mask with green peas and fresh herbs to your liking. Carefully, so as not to damage the structure of the layers, remove the glasses from the salad and serve the treat to the table.
